‘Over-served’ Lauren Boebert cut off by bartender at GOP event, CNN claims

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is back in the news again for all the wrong reasons, this time for reportedly being cut off by a bartender at a New York City event where she allegedly had too much to drink.

In what has all the looks of another left-wing media hit job, CNN just reported on the alleged incident it said which took place months ago at the New York Young Republican Club’s annual gala at the Cipriani ballroom in December 2023, with the outlet citing the usual anonymous sources to claim that Boebert was intoxicated and unruly.

On Saturday, the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news” reported that “multiple witnesses saw a server tell Boebert they would not bring her any more alcohol, with one witness telling CNN the server told the congresswoman they believed she had been overserved.”

“Throughout the night, Boebert also kept attempting to snap selfies with Trump, who was sitting at the same table as her. Eventually, Trump’s security detail stepped in and asked Boebert to stop, according to the witnesses, who attended the event and saw the interaction take place,” the outlet claimed without identifying the co-called witnesses or sharing any actual video footage of the congresswoman’s alleged drunkenness.

However, some are casting doubt on CNN’s big scoop with “insiders” telling the New York Post that Boebert was NOT cut off from the bar as the network claimed but confirmed that she did irritate the former president by pestering him for selfies.

“She came over between Gavin Wax and President Trump and tried to take a selfie with the two of them. After taking a few and being unhappy with how they looked she tried to take more selfies but she was pushed away by President Trump who said, ‘That’s enough,’” one witness said. Gavin Wax is the president of the New York Young Republican Club.

“Everyone knows the New York Young Republican Club throws the best galas,” Wax said in a statement, according to the New York Post. “If you’re asking if Congresswoman Boebert had a good time at one of our galas, the answer is ‘I hope so.’”

Boebert has been the subject of years of savage smears by the media and while she admittedly doesn’t help herself with behavior like she exhibited during the infamous “Beetlejuice” musical incident where she was caught on camera during an amorous encounter with her then-boyfriend.

The outspoken Colorado Republican who is fighting for her political life in the GOP primary for outgoing RINO backstabber Ken Buck’s seat did get some good news.

On Friday, the embattled lawmaker clinched the top spot on the ballot for the seat in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District by winning 41 percent of the delegate vote from the district’s nominating assembly, the Colorado Sun reported.

“If you are going to fight the good fight of faith, then you better be ready for that battle,” Boebert said in a speech to delegates. “I’m honored to have President Trump’s endorsement and honored even more to have your support.”
