Right on cue: Iran engages in ‘unrestricted’ saber-rattling ahead of midterms

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued another tough-guy message ahead of the United States midterms.

In several X posts, Khamenei declared that any type of threat from the US or Israel would be met with force, and it was clear he wasn’t taking anything off the table.

Look:

“Any level or type of threat must be met with an immediate, impactful, and geographically unrestricted response,” he wrote.

“Should Iran’s enemies resume military or terrorist attacks, it will be the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine when and under what conditions those attacks will end,” he said in another post.

“The military target database must be updated comprehensively to ensure that all kinds of physical and non-physical assets of the US-Zionist enemy are brought within the reach of the Armed Forces,” reads yet another threatening message.

The messages come ahead of midterms, as Americans head to the polls amid crushing gas prices largely attributed to the ongoing conflict in Iran.

Reports from Reuters indicate that negotiators from Iran are currently in Doha, Qatar, to discuss a potential end to the war with mediators. It remains to be seen whether these threats will help those discussions, or if it’s just an attempt to scare Americans into pressuring the United States government to give in
