U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, a black man, slammed Hollywood celebrity Chelsea Handler for lecturing another black man about who to vote for.
The lecturing happened four years ago after rapper 50 Cent, also a black man, endorsed then-President Donald Trump because of his opposition to then-Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden’s proposed tax hikes.

Speaking on “The Tonight Show” after the rapper issued the endorsement, Handler told host Jimmy Fallon about a private conversation she’d had in which she’d reminded him of his race.
“He says he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent of taxes, which by the way isn’t a plan of Joe Biden’s. That’s a lie. So he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent of taxes, because he doesn’t want to go from being 50 Cent to 20 Cent,” she said, first describing the beef.
“And I had to remind him that he’s a black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump, and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook,” she continued.
She then proceeded to offer the rapper a bout of sex in exchange for a vote for Biden.
“So I haven’t heard back from him yet, but I’m willing to seal the deal in more ways than one if he changes his mind and publicly denounces Donald Trump. I might be willing to go for another spin, if you know what I’m talking about,” she said.
Years later, the clip of Handler proudly talking about lecturing 50 Cent about his race has resurfaced and inspired a whirlwind of fresh blowback, including from Sen. Scott, who tweeted the following Friday:

Regarding Handler, her takes on white people have been just as stupid and grossly racist.
Two years ago, she went on a rant about how men are “so disappointing,” especially white men whom she claimed “owe us an apology.”
The trash-talking reportedly came as the perpetually single, unmarried 47-year-old Hollywood starlet confessed that she’s “all but given up on finding a good man,” as reported by award-winning film critic Christian Toto.
“That led to this awkward exchange where Handler bemoaned how many men argue with her over ‘equality,’” Toto reported.
“Men can be so [sigh] disappointing,” she reportedly said.
“I know it’s not all men, obviously, I have to keep saying that, which is so annoying. My brother says, ‘Chelsea, not all white guys are bad. Well, you are for even saying that. Don’t even say that,” she reportedly continued, zeroing in on white men.
“No one is saying all white guys are bad. We’re saying there are enough bad ones out there, that as a collective, you guys all owe us an apology.”
