Potty mouth Schumer says ‘No f**king way’ Dems allow Trump to extend DC federalization

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is adamant that President Donald Trump will not be able to extend his control of law enforcement in the effort to clean up Washington, D.C.

The New York Democrat emphasized his opposition to Trump’s efforts to tackle crime in the nation’s capital with an expletive during an interview with Aaron Parnas on Wednesday.

“If he went to Congress and said, ‘You know what? There’s this crime emergency. We need the National Guard out there longer. We need to take over Washington, D.C.’ Would you grant it?” Parnas asked Schumer, referring to the potential for Trump to request an extension of federal control over the police department and deploy the National Guard in D.C.

“No f‑‑‑ing way,” Schumer replied.

“We’ll fight him tooth and nail,” he added. “He needs to get Congress to approve it, and not only are we not going to approve it, but there are some Republicans who don’t like either.”

Schumer then rolled out the current Democrat narrative that Trump is focused on helping residents in the District feel safe, only as a smokescreen to distract from other issues in the administration.

“This is, again, just a distraction. He’s afraid of Epstein,” Schumer claimed, referring to the deceased Jeffrey Epstein and the so-called files related to his case. “He’s afraid of all that, and we are not going to give up on Epstein.”

Trump has up to 30 days of authorization for the federalization of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), but will need to seek Congress’s approval if he plans to extend the anti-crime sweep.

“If it’s a national emergency, we can do it without Congress,” he told reporters on Wednesday. “But we expect to be before Congress very quickly.”

He also noted that he would support a crime bill that would “pertain initially to D.C.” and could become a “very positive example” for other cities across the nation.

Meanwhile, social media users blasted Schumer for his hypocrisy – and his language.
