Illinois Governor JB Pritzker vowed that there will be reprisals against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents when his party regains political power, an ominous warning that the abuses of the Biden era could return with a vengeance.
A 2028 Democrat presidential contender, the billionaire blowhard has been a veritable fountain of incendiary rhetoric as President Trump has deployed the National Guard to Chicago to protect ICE from violent left-wing mobs that have been whipped into a frenzy by Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who have both put targets on the backs of agents.
“The tables will turn one day,” the governor said in an interview with FOX 32 Chicago. “These people should recognize that maybe they’re not gonna get prosecuted today, although we’re looking at doing that, but they may get prosecuted after the Trump administration because the statute of limitations would not have run out.”

“He’s one SICK scumbag — putting criminal illegals over the Patriots keeping us safe,” the White House Rapid Response 47 account wrote on X, sharing a clip of Pritzker’s pledge.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin slammed the governor’s “disgusting” threat, according to Newsweek, saying that he has “smeared our law enforcement calling them thugs, but to millions of Americans—including those victimized by criminal illegal aliens—they are heroes.”
“…The pledge of prosecution of ICE officers by Pritzker, Jeffries, and others is the height of demagoguery. It is not only an example of constitutional illiteracy but political idiocy. This comes just a few weeks after a sniper attack on ICE officers,” wrote constitutional law expert Professor Jonathan Turley.

The plus-sized demagogue has previously suggested that ICE’s enforcement of federal immigration law is the modern-day equivalent of Nazi Germany.

The current atmosphere of political violence has been exploited by Democrat governors with an eye on the White House to appeal to their party’s deranged base. Such remarks are grossly irresponsible and put the lives of ICE agents in danger by branding them as fascists, Nazis, and criminals who will face “justice” when they are back in charge.
“So this is a dangerous time,” Pritzker told Fox 32. “The President of the United States is causing mayhem in the grounds of our state. He is going after his political opponents. I don’t know why anybody would look at the situation and not recognize he’s moving toward an authoritarian regime in his own image.”
For all the hot air about Trump’s “weaponizing” of the justice system against his enemies, the Democrats have already gone there, and will go there again the second that they regain the upper hand.
