The Winnebago County, Wisconsin Democratic Party sparked outrage over a volunteer who was passing out bracelets with a hateful message about President Donald J. Trump, seemingly wishing for his death.
One of those who was given the vile bracelet that reportedly read “Is He Dead Yet?” was an eight-year-old child who was at the Oshkosh Farmers Market, where the Democrat worker handed out what the youngster’s mother described as “hate speech” in an interview with a local news outlet.
“It’s hate speech. I mean, it’s literally wishing death on somebody, which isn’t appropriate in any scenario,” Katy Neubauer told Green Bay-based Fox News affiliate Fox 11, describing the experience during her family’s visit to the market over the weekend.

“The guy behind the tent table said, ‘Hey, give this to your mom, she’s going to really want this,’ and one of the children comes running up, gives us the bracelet, and we’re looking at it and it literally says ‘Is he dead yet?’ on the bracelet,” she told the outlet.
The Oshkosh Farmer’s Market told Fox 11 that it received about ten complaints about the offensive bracelets.

“On Saturday, October 11, someone in the Winnebago County Democratic Party booth gave a minor child a bracelet that said #ishedeadyet. The mother of the child contacted the market manager to report the incident and to express concern about the integrity of the market,” the market said in a statement posted to social media.
“This item did not align with current market policies. Since that time, the market has received multiple complaints about items being displayed and distributed; as such, by mutual agreement, the Winnebago County Democratic Party will not have a booth at the remaining Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Markets this season. The Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market Board will be reviewing and considering revisions to market policies to prevent any similar incidents in the future,” the market statement read.
Fox 11 attempted to contact the Winnebago County Democratic Party but found its office closed for the Columbus Day holiday. The outlet also tried to call, but “we were told everyone is on vacation and no one could do an interview.”
“The materials brought by a volunteer without the authorization of the Party are not in line with our values, and we regret this happened,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Philip Shulman said in a texted statement to Fox 11.
The distribution of the hateful bracelets comes a month after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was murdered by a leftist during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, a political killing that was cheered by leftists who openly celebrated on social media, many of them posting under their real names.
“We are at a time in our country where political violence is at an all-time high, and to have one of the major parties out there continuing to perpetuate it would be very sad,” said Republican Party of Winnebago County Chairman Cameron Clark.
“We do have a vendor code of conduct and rules and regulations on how items are to be handed out at the farmers market, and they did break market rules,” market Manager Michelle Schmid-Schultz told Fox 11, confirming that the materials were handed out by the Winnebago County Democratic Party’s booth.
