Pro-abortion activists caught on tape spray-painting anti-Christian phrases outside Michigan church

Lansing police have released security footage of three pro-abortion activists spray-painting vile slogans in red paint on the sidewalk outside Michigan’s Church of the Ressurection last weekend.

The three thugs can be seen approaching the church on foot. When they were finished, phrases such as “abort the court” and “death to Christian nationalism” were scrawled in front of the Catholic house of worship.

On Wednesday, parish pastor Steve Mattson said he hoped the vandals would have a “come to Jesus” moment.

“Our hope and our prayer is that those who did this to our parish church are not just brought to justice but are also brought to conversion, brought to an encounter with the love of Jesus, brought to a realization that anger corrodes the soul while life in Christ brings only freedom, peace and healing,” he said, according to Fox News Digital. “That’s our hope. That’s our prayer.”

It’s the latest in a string of pro-abortion attacks that seem to go unpunished after the Supreme Court’s explosive majority draft opinion on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was leaked in May.

“Not a single arrest has been made in more than a dozen attacks on pro-life organizations across the country claimed by left-wing pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge,” Fox News states.

As American Wire reported in September, at least 18 arson and vandalism attacks on pro-life organizations have been publicly claimed by Jane’s Revenge, but the FBI has failed to make any arrests. Though the bureau launched an investigation into the incidents in June, it hasn’t managed to identify a single person of interest to question.

In an emailed statement from the agency to Fox News Digital, the FBI said, “The incidents are being investigated as potential acts of domestic violent extremism, FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act violations or violent crime matters, depending on the facts of each case.”

“The FBI takes all violence and threats of violence very seriously,” they claimed, “and we are working closely with our law enforcement partners at the national, state and local levels to investigate these incidents.”

But, while the FBI is great at raiding the homes of those who oppose President Joe Biden’s progressive policies, they continue to fail at locating people who go on social media and declare an “open season” on the right.

“Your thirty days expired yesterday,” Jane’s Revenge warned pro-life conservatives. “We offered an honourable [sic] way out. You could have walked away. Now the leash is off. And we will make it as hard as possible for your campaign of oppression to continue. We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack. We are versatile, we are mercurial, and we answer to no one but ourselves.”

On Wednesday, nearly 40 Republicans in Congress, including Rep. Chip Roy (Texas) and Sen. Mike Lee (Utah), penned a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding transparency on the agency’s enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which has recently been used to raid the homes of and arrest 11 pro-life activists.

“Overzealous prosecutions under the FACE Act weaponize the power of federal law enforcement against American citizens in what should firmly be state and local matters,” the letter reads. “Further, these abuses of federal power against pro-life Americans based solely on their beliefs undermine the American people’s trust in the FBI.”

“This is particularly true since there have been no reports of FBI investigations or DOJ prosecutions in relation to the more than 72 pregnancy resource centers and 80 Catholic churches that have been attacked or vandalized since the Dobbs leak – heinous, violent, and organized crimes across state lines that are also subject to prosecution under the FACE Act,” the Republicans continue. “It is clear that congressional scrutiny of the FBI’s use of the FACE Act is needed to ensure the FBI is applying it as Congress intended and, if not, to determine whether the FBI can continue to be trusted with this authority.”

Online, the attack on the Lansing church is a sign to many of our nation’s steady decline.

Wrote one Twitter user, “Our country is lost.”
