An independent reporter said that he was booted out of this weekend’s Turning Point Action Conference after he confronted former White House adviser and conservative commentator Steve Bannon with questions about his attacks on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and a controversial fundraising campaign to construct a wall along the southern border.
In a video posted to Twitter, Chris Nelson whose work has been supportive of DeSantis, approached Bannon at the event which was held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, aggressively asking questions that led to him being escorted out of the venue by security personnel.
“Hey Steve Bannon! When are you going to get back that money you took from the Build the Wall Fund?” Nelson asked, referring to the case that he was indicted on but was later pardoned by Trump before he left office. “When are you going to give that money back?”

“There’s not one penny, dude,” Bannon answered, after which Nelson accused him of lying about DeSantis and saying that “Andrew Breitbart would be rolling in his grave right now to see what you’re doing.” Bannon formerly served as executive chairman of Breitbart News, the website bearing the name of the legendary conservative journalist.
“When are you going to stop lying about Ron DeSantis?” Nelson asked, continuing his badgering of the Honey Badger. “Aren’t you concerned that Trump does not have any ground game to win and that he has no plan to do anything differently and that Ron DeSantis has gotten victory after victory with election integrity?”
“Ron DeSantis, today, NBC’s reporting, he’s got $3 million left,” Bannon, shot back as he walked away as security converged on the reporter who was then escorted out of the venue as he protested.
“Because if somebody’s not in your little club, then you throw them out,” Nelson said “You can’t stand dissenting viewpoints.”

Nelson also harassed Mike Lindell at TPUSA, taking a shot at the MyPillow CEO’s past struggles with drug addiction.
“I thought you might’ve relapsed,” Nelson said as he scolded Lindell over his remarks about DeSantis. “You know what he’s done for this state?

Bannon delivered a fiery speech at the event, describing the 2024 election in biblical terms as a “crusade” and a “holy war against the Deep State” and that “Donald Trump is our instrument for retribution!”

He also said that he believes that the Democrats will dump Joe Biden before the election,
“I think they’ll trade him out, but we’ve got nothing but a war in the general election, and then we gotta make sure they can’t steal it. And by the way, that’s the easy part…We’ve got six to eight years ahead of us of absolute political warfare,” Bannon said.
