Pro-life reporter brutally assaulted over Planned Parenthood question

A pro-life reporter was brutally assaulted while conducting a live interview in the latest example of the left’s increasing embrace of violence as a response to political disagreements.

In the shocking footage, which was posted to social media, Live Action reporter Savannah Craven was viciously struck by a woman after she asked a question about Planned Parenthood as she was interviewing passersby on a Harlem street in New York City.

“Today, Savannah Craven, a pro-life reporter working with Live Action, was physically assaulted while peacefully exercising her First Amendment rights by conducting on-the-street interviews in New York City. She was engaging passersby with a simple question: ‘Do you know what Planned Parenthood does?’” Live Action founder President Lila Rose said in a statement.

“During one of these conversations, a pro-abortion individual became enraged upon learning Savannah was pro-life and brutally punched her in the face,” Rose added.

The bloodied victim recounted the harrowing incident while she was en route to the hospital to seek medical attention for her injuries.

The reporter’s husband described the attack in a statement.

“My wife Savannah Craven Antao was assaulted by a pro-abortion woman we were interviewing on the street. The woman became aggressive and violent upon learning Savannah’s pro-life stance. I intervened to protect my wife, and we immediately called 911,” Henry Antao said.

“The police arrived, and we provided them with the assailant’s photo and description. We hope justice will be served soon. We are pro life activists because ending abortion and protecting babies from the violence that Parenthood commits is the most important issue of our lifetime,” he added.

“We are deeply grateful for the work Savannah has done to protect preborn children and help end abortion in our nation. Her bravery in the face of violence is heroic. We are grateful she is safe and receiving support. No one should ever face physical assault for expressing their views in public,” Rose said.

The attack comes as leftists are engaged in an organized domestic terror campaign against Tesla and CEO Elon Musk that includes the firebombing of dealerships for the electric vehicles as well as charging stations. Numerous incidents of vandalism of individually owned vehicles and the menacing of innocent Tesla owners have been reported.

Democrat lawmakers have not only declined to condemn the political violence but have been tacitly encouraging it, and their followers are acting out.
