Professor rips feds over lack of answers on Trump assassination attempt: ‘They smirk right in your face’

Columbia University professor and economist Jeffrey Sachs blasted the federal government over the lack of transparency about the assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump.

A month and a half after Trump narrowly avoided having his head blown off on live television during a rally in Pennsylvania, there are still very few answers about the inexplicable number of failures that allowed a would-be assassin to set up a clear shot, and even fewer details about the background and motivation of 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

“We don’t know the story, it’s absolutely shocking, we don’t know the story and whether we ever will know the story is, like so many things now that are huge events,” Sachs said during a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, also noting that there’s a similar lack of answers about COVID.

“Assassination attempt on Trump, isn’t that weeks ago? That’s old news, we don’t even talk about that anymore! We have no attention span, we have complete lying from the government, we have secrecy and confidentiality, so we never solve any of these issues,” he added.

“Blowing up Nord Stream… some cockamamie story. Yeah. A few people on a sailboat. Oh, it was Ukrainians. Oh, was this always? You know, this is part. We have no attention span.” he continued. “We have complete lying from the government. We have secrecy and confidentiality. So we never actually ever solve any of these issues because it’s very hard to have a systematic, methodical discussion where one discusses and then where there’s a response.”

“The thing that gets me about, Washington is they don’t feel they have to respond to anything. And you watch the spokespeople, Matt Miller at the State Department or Kirby in the White House, they smirk right in your face to tell you you are nothing. We can tell anything to you. Do you understand? I mean, that’s my interpretation… they smirk,” Sachs said, referring to Biden’s mouthpieces and their condescending press conferences.

Considering the potentially history-altering significance, it is bizarre that the failed assassination of Trump has all but completely vanished from legacy media which initially covered it honestly but then disappeared the iconic image of the bloodied Trump defiantly thrusting his fist in the air. A picture so powerful that even his enemies admitted that it could win the election for him.

Pretty much all coverage has been memory-holed and the media isn’t asking questions, especially about Crooks whose body was released for cremation by the FBI before a congressional probe could be conducted, a “disturbing” move according to one GOP House lawmaker

Congressional Republicans haven’t had much luck in getting answers from the feds who are stonewalling their investigation.
