‘Project much, Meathead?’ Rob Reiner eviscerated for ‘rich’ take on crash that killed Putin foe

Meatheads tend to say meathead things, and actor/director Rob Reiner is proving once again that he is still the undisputed king of the meathead movement.

Reiner, who suffers mightily from Trump Derangement Syndrome and routinely posts unhinged remarks about the former president on X, outdid himself on Wednesday with his over-the-top take on the Moscow plane crash that reportedly killed Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of Russia’s mercenary Wagner Group.

Without a shred of evidence to back his claim, Reiner declared, “The man who led an opposition to Vladimir Putin was killed in a plane crash.”

He then asserted that Trump aims to “execute” anyone who stands in the way of his White House ambitions.

“This is how an autocrat governs. Execute your enemies,” Reiner said. “This is what Donald Trump aspires to. If he is allowed to return to the White House, our 247 years of self rule will be no more.”

It was a Keith Olbermann-level-crazy claim, and Reiner was promptly ravaged for making it.

“That’s rich coming from your side- Trump doesn’t even try to jail his opponents!!!” replied comedian Roseanne Barr. “I know it’s depressing for you, but try to look in the mirror !! (not the funhouse one you use because it makes it look like you have knees, but a real one).”

“Just when I thought you could not get more dumber than yesterday,” said another user. “There’s this.”

“Biden is literally trying to imprison his political rival,” noted a third. “Project much, Meathead?”

Others relied on the power of memes to convey their thoughts:

“Rob, you and your fellow Democrats are trying to imprison your political enemy,” one user explained. “You are nothing but a fatter version of Putin in this way. (way fatter).”

As BizPac Review reported on Wednesday, Prigozhin was among ten other passengers aboard a private jet when the plane went down near Moscow.

While Prigozhin led his forces in a quickly-resolved mutiny against Putin in June, there is, as of yet, no evidence that the Russian leader was behind the crash.

According to the Pentagon, there are no indications that a surface-to-air missile was involved, Reuters reports.

“Our initial assessment is that it’s likely Prigozhin was killed,” Pentagon press secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder told reporters on Thursday. “We don’t have any information to indicate right now the press reporting stating that there was some type of surface-to-air missile that took down the plane.”

But, much like the meathead master, a slack-jawed President Joe Biden shuffled up to reporters and suggested Putin may very well have had something to do with the downing of the plane.

“I don’t know for a fact what happened, but I’m not surprised,” Biden said. “There’s not much that happens in Russia that Putin’s not behind.”
