The indictment of Hunter Biden on gun charges dominated the news cycle but some were skeptical if not downright suspicious of the latest development in the Biden family saga and GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy offered up a provocative prediction of what it may mean.
In a week when House Republicans took the first steps toward an impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden that at least partially centers on his involvement in his son’s shady business dealings, the news that special counsel David Weiss had charged the crack-huffing sex fiend for lying about his drug habit when purchasing a firearm hit like a bombshell on Thursday morning.
In a post to X, formerly Twitter, Ramaswamy scoffed at the indictment as a “smokescreen” and a “fig leaf” that is merely a shiny object to distract from the far more serious issue of the entire Biden clan selling out the country to foreign interests and the impeachment inquiry of the patriarch of what many have likened to a crime family.
Today’s indictment of Hunter Biden is a smokescreen. Don’t fall for it. This is a fig leaf designed to deflect attention away from the real problem: the Biden family is selling out U.S. foreign policy for their own family’s private financial gain. “Today’s indictment of Hunter Biden is a smokescreen. Don’t fall for it. This is a fig leaf designed to deflect attention away from the real problem: the Biden family is selling out U.S. foreign policy for their own family’s private financial gain. That’s really what’s wrong, and we must hold politicians in both major political parties when they use our foreign policy to enrich their family members,” the political newcomer wrote.
“The impeachment inquiry initiated by the House against President Biden is a step in the right direction, but the public shouldn’t fall for the trick of diverting attention away from the true problem. It’s also no accident that today’s indictment comes at a moment when President Biden’s own popularity within the Democratic Party is cratering,” he added.
“I predict this is the first step for the Democrat Party managerial class to pressure Joe Biden out of the race. Biden will become a sacrificial pawn in service to the deep state that wants to keep power at all costs,” Ramaswamy concluded, suggesting that the forces that act as an unelected shadow government are ready to throw away the geriatric career politician who has outlived his usefulness.
Another GOP candidate of note, former President Donald J. Trump also pointed out a very fishy aspect of the Hunter Biden indictment.

“This, the gun charge, is the only crime that Hunter Biden committed that does not implicate Crooked Joe Biden. One down, Eleven to go! The Democrats, with all of their horrible, very unfair, and mostly illegal Witch Hunts, have started a process that is very dangerous for our Country. They have opened the proverbial Pandora’s Box, and it is possible that the USA will never be the same again. SO SAD!!!” Trump said on Truth Social, suggesting that the impeachment and indictment are only the beginning.
