Rashida Tlaib finally responds to Hamas killing babies, blasts ‘bigoted assumptions’ made about her

Days after Hamas launched horrific attacks against Israel, raping, pillaging, and slaughtering innocent Jews, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) finally commented on the terrorists beheading their babies.

Her comments follow Fox News reporter Hillary Vaughn attempting to get her to comment on the atrocities committed by Hamas, including the evil killing of infants. She was ignored, while Tlaib smirked and walked away.

Tlaib is part of the infamous “Squad.” Her fellow members include notorious anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The blowback on their sympathies for Palestinians has engendered massive blowback in Congress.

“I do not support targeting and killing of civilians, whether in Israel or Palestine. The fact that some have suggested otherwise is offensive and rooted in bigoted assumptions about my faith and ethnicity,” Tlaib claimed on Wednesday.

Tlaib’s statement after the initial attack on Saturday was couched in terms of hatred for Israel, not the butchery of Hamas.

“They were war crimes,” she stated concerning Hamas. “It’s a war crime just like the collective punishment of Palestinians right now is a war crime.”

She then intimated that Israel would commit ethnic cleansing in retaliation, “The violence needs to stop. We need to follow international laws that protect the innocent. We can’t allow one group to (claim) the justification of more war crimes. Palestinian and Israeli lives are directly impacted if we don’t push to stop the violence.”

“I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day. I am determined as ever to fight for a just future where everyone can live in peace, without fear, and with true freedom, equal rights, and human dignity. The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance,” her statement asserted.

“The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer. No person, no child anywhere should have to suffer or live in fear of violence. We cannot ignore the humanity in each other. As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue,” it added.

Some have called for her censure over previous comments she made concerning Hamas’ October 7 attacks on Israel.

“U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Detroit, is facing censure for her response to the Hamas attack on Israel,” CBS News reported. “U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Watersmeet, filed a censure resolution against Tlaib Wednesday, saying she has a ‘long history of making anti-semitic and anti-Israeli remarks.'”

Bergman slammed Tlaib’s response.

In a video posted to X, he stated, “While we don’t all have to see eye-to-eye on every issue, I’d hope we can all agree that the terrorist raping women, murdering festivalgoers, and decapitating babies is a crime against all of humanity, and we must be able to call out that kind of unbridled evil in the world.”

Tlaib continues to fly the Palestinian flag outside her office despite the actions of Hamas.

Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) posted his unfettered disgust with the radical leftist, “As the only member to serve with both the United States Army and the Israel Defense Forces, I will always stand with Israel. Tlaib’s got her flag. I got my uniform. ‘Global Day of Rage’ my ass.”
