Remember when Kamala bashed Trump for sending troops to the border? We do. But, it’s okay for Biden.

Vice President Kamala Harris may suddenly be rethinking her position on what constitutes an “inappropriate” way to police the border.

In a recently resurfaced video from 2018, Harris bashed the move to send the United States military to the southern border under then-President Donald Trump. She called it little more than a PR stunt in a clip that is coming back to haunt her amid now-President Joe Biden’s move.

Watch:

“I also believe that the administration made a decision to deploy them based on a political agenda and I believe that it is inappropriate to require the limited resources of the United States military to be used in such a way when it was, you know, these folks who are being deployed there, they’re gonna leave, they’ve left their families, they will not be home, it looks like, for Thanksgiving,” she said. “And all because there needed to be some demonstration for the TV cameras based on a political agenda instead of what is a national security threat.”

The comments pose a problem as Biden ordered 1,500 active-duty military personnel to address the escalating crisis at the United States-Mexico border. The end of Title 42, a COVID-era border protocol that made it easier to turn back incoming migrants, is expected to exacerbate the already abysmal situation our border control personnel are facing. An official told CNN that the increased security will last for 90 days, and will “fill critical capability gaps, such as ground-based detection and monitoring, data entry, and warehouse support, until CBP can address these needs through contracted support.”

Ironically, Harris had originally been selected to address the non-stop flow of humanity at the border but later explained that she was only looking at the “root causes” of the crisis. She is now going to have to justify her prior comments as well as find a way to show support for Biden’s latest move without coming across as a hypocrite.

Unfortunately for her, Twitter is already one step ahead:
