Rep. Anna Paulina Luna wants to send chickenhawk lawmakers to the ‘front lines’ if they vote for Ukraine bill

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is challenging chickenhawk lawmakers who are demanding $60 billion to prolong Ukraine’s bloody war with Russia to back up their tough talk with action.

The Florida Republican reacted to Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s implied threat that American troops could be shipped off to Europe to fight the Russians if the money isn’t approved with her own bill requiring members of Congress to join them on the front lines.

“In honor of Chuck Schumer, I’ll be introducing a bill that will require any politician who advocates for sending American troops to Ukraine to be required to fight on the front lines with them,” the congresswoman wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

According to the Daily Mail which obtained the The Senators Can Help Underpin Military Engagement and Readiness Act aka the SCHUMER Act, the bill would “require Members of Congress who advocate for providing military support for Ukraine to enlist in the armed forces and to serve on active duty in support of a contingency operation.”

Rep. Luna was reacting to the New York Democrat’s recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” where he ranted about the Republican reaction to the sham bill that was advertised as being necessary to provide the Biden regime with the tools to address the illegal alien crisis but was in reality, legislation to get the stalled tens of billions into the hands of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“If we don’t aid Ukraine, Putin will be, walk all over Ukraine and we will use the war,” Schumer said, letting it slip that it is the United States’ war in a rare moment of honesty. “And we could be fighting in Eastern Europe in a NATO ally in a few years, and Americans won’t like that.”

Schumer later tried to walk it back but the point was made that the chickenhawks in Congress will eagerly ship off the children of American mothers to die in another foreign war in which they have no real skin in the game. Luna’s bill seeks to change that by letting them join in the fighting.

“Whichever person leaked this… thanks. I make no apologies. I’m naming this bill the Schumer Act. Members of Congress should fight on the ‘front lines’ in Ukraine if they support the Schumer-backed calls for service members to fight in Ukraine,” the congresswoman wrote on Thursday morning after the Daily Mail broke the story and published the bill’s text.

Schumer confirmed that the “border bill” was really about Ukraine when he vowed to ram the money for the notoriously corrupt country through anyway as a standalone package without the controversial illegal immigration measures included.

Luna’s fellow GOP lawmaker, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) blasted the “border bill” as a “ruse” concocted by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and the scheming Schumer to conceal the true motivations of funding Ukraine.

“From the beginning, I think this has been a ruse. It hasn’t ever really been about the border. That was a token, that was a bone that was going to be thrown to conservatives,” Paul told Fox News host Laura Ingraham, slamming McConnell’s complicity in the scam.

“He is working with Biden and Schumer to funnel your money to Ukraine, but he’s not working with conservatives. So he is in the minority of his caucus. There’s maybe ten of them that will vote with all of the Democrats. He is using the minority of the big government Republicans up here to work with Democrats to send your money to Ukraine,” Paul said.
