Rep. Jayapal makes TELLING admission on abolishing ICE

U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal all but confirmed that Democrats will pursue their radical agenda if they regain the majority in Congress in November.

The Washington Democrat gave MS Now viewers a glimpse of her party’s plans to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement, suggesting that it will be a top priority if the midterm elections go in their favor.

“Congresswoman, I hear you calling for abolishing, dismantling, whatever verb you want to use, ICE. Presumably that’s not going to happen in the next couple of weeks, as these negotiations are going on,” MS Now host Catherine Rampell said during the interview with Jayapal.

“Republicans are not going to agree to that, and they still hold the majority in both Houses. What are the specific reforms…what are the red lines now as a condition of passing these funding bills?” she asked.

“We can’t completely do what we want to do without the majorities,” Jayapal admitted.

“But what we can do is insist that ICE and CBP get out of Minnesota and our cities across the country where they are terrorizing people,” added the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement.

In an interview with The Seattle Times, Jayapal vowed a Democrat-led government would pursue impeaching Trump Cabinet officials like DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and would abolish ICE as well as the Department of Homeland Security.

“First we have to haul everybody, all of the leaders of these agencies that have been flouting the law, we have got to haul them before us,” she told the outlet. “We should impeach them. We should get rid of them in whatever way possible. And we should make them answer to the American people.”

“As soon as we get the gavels back, we have to dismantle DHS, ICE and CBP,” she declared at a town hall this week in Seattle, earning a swift rebuke from the Washington State Republican Party.

“Americans overwhelmingly voted to secure the border. If you’re unhappy, self-deport,” the group posted.  “You don’t represent the majority of law-abiding citizens. You protect criminal illegals. If the media had a spine, you wouldn’t be in Congress.”

Jayapal’s latest remarks on abolishing ICE prompted immediate backlash on X.
