Rufo tells conservatives to ‘connect the dots’ between Hamas, BLM, and DSA to ‘discredit’ them

Christopher Rufo, the intrepid researcher who’s been documenting critical race theory’s radicalism and its effect on society, has called for conservatives to link CRT and other elements of the modern left with Hamas, the terrorist group.

Conservatives need to create a strong association between Hamas, BLM, DSA, and academic ‘decolonization’ in the public mind. Connect the dots, then attack, delegitimize, and discredit. Make the center-left disavow them. Make them political untouchables,” he tweeted Friday afternoon.

BLM is short for Black Lives Matter, and DSA is short for Democratic Socialists of America.

What would be the point of linking them all together? To show that the modern far-left is, in many ways, equivalent to Hamas when it comes to their fundamentalist thinking.

But would it be fair to link them all together? Yes, and the reason why is because all three subsets of the left — BLM activists, DSA members, and academics who bellyache about “colonizers” and the need to “decolonize” — have expressed support for Hamas in the wake of the horrific terror attack they committed.

Take BLM. Earlier this week, the group’s Chicago chapter gleefully posted a drawing of a paraglider with the words “I STAND WITH PALESTINE” under it. The image of the paraglider was in reference to the Hamas terrorists who paraglided into an Israeli music festival and killed over 200 innocent people last weekend.

Then there’s the DSA. The DSA’s New York City chapter promoted an anti-Semitic rally after the attack. During the rally, one man was seen holding up the image of a swastika.

“The rally, which featured protesters stomping on an Israeli flag and another flashing a swastika on his phone, was organized hours after Hamas terrorists launched a sneak attack on Israeli communities,” according to the New York Post.

The organization’s promotion of the rally was so offensive that a number of congressional Democrats have since condemned the DSA, quit the DSA, or both, including even far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“The bigotry and callousness expressed in Times Square on Sunday were unacceptable and harmful in this devastating moment. It also did not speak for the thousands of New Yorkers who are capable of rejecting both Hamas’ horrifying attacks against innocent civilians as well as the grave injustices and violence Palestinians face under occupation,” she said in a statement.

Last up are the academics like an unnamed Stanford University professor who this week called his Jewish students “colonizers.”

“Rabbi Dov Greenberg, director of the Chabad Stanford Jewish Center, said he was told by three students who were in the room that the instructor asked Jewish and Israeli students to identify themselves during a session for a required undergraduate course called ‘Civil, Liberal and Global Education,'” according to The Forward.

“The teacher told the Jewish students to take their belongings, stand in a corner, and said, ‘This is what Israel does to the Palestinians,’ Greenberg said, citing the student accounts. The instructor then asked, ‘How many people died in the Holocaust?’ When a student answered, ‘Six million,’ the lecturer said, ‘Colonizers killed more than 6 million. Israel is a colonizer.'”

Responding to Rufo’s tweet, some on the right were quick to note that establishing a connection between these segments of the left isn’t really necessary. What’s needed, the critic argued, is for the right to simply “bring attention” to the connection.

Meanwhile, some on the left were quick to cry foul over Rufo’s plan to link everybody together.

“Same playbook, new acronyms. Wonder if the mainstream press will fall for it again?” far-left MSNBC “reporter” Ben Collins angrily tweeted.

Look:

Like other radical leftists, Collins is mad that Rufo previously brought attention to the dangers of CRT and is now doing the same about the dangers of being pro-Hamas.

Incidentally, nowhere in Collins tweet does he explain why Rufo is wrong about either CRT or about Hamas. And the reason why should be obvious: because Rufo ISN’T WRONG.
