Censured Russiagate hoaxer and serial fabricator Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) seemed to take great pleasure in the forthcoming indictment of former President Donald J. Trump on charges related to the so-called “insurrection” on January 6, 2021.
Schiff, a veteran of the failed impeachments as well as a member of the now-defunct J6 House committee, joined MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart on this week’s edition of “The Sunday Show” to discuss the latest developments in the Democrats’ great Trump hunt and the target letter that the 2024 GOP frontrunner revealed that he had received from Special Counsel Jack Smith last week.
“Donald Trump is sweating, and when he sweats, he threatens,” Capehart said, showing a series of social media posts from Trump critical of the special counsel and his “prosecutorial misconduct” that threatens to severely impact his hopes of returning to the White House before he welcomed the disgraced California Democrat.

“I think these are the most serious charges that he faces,” the congressman said, stating that the other cases against Trump pale in comparison to what Smith has cooked up in D.C. “The Mar-a-Lago documents case was a threat to our national security. It’s very serious. Obviously, the multiple business fraud counts in New York are also serious, but this is essentially a set of charges revolving around his efforts to stop the peaceful transfer of power for the first time in our history.”
“It’s hard to imagine a president being involved in more serious misconduct. So it’s the most serious thing he’s faced yet,” Schiff added.
Meanwhile, the former president continues to rail against his chief persecutor, taking to his social media platform on Sunday to blast the amount of taxpayer money that’s been spent on the investigations against him.
“Every time you see these Radical Lunatics and their partners in the Fake News Media talking about the “Trials and Tribulations” of President Donald J. Trump, please remember that it is all a coordinated HOAX, just like Russia, Russia, Russia, the “No Collusion” Mueller Witch Hunt, the Fake Dossier, FISA Fraud, and all of the rest, in order to STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION through PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT at levels never seen before in the U.S. Deranged Jack Smith has already spent over $25,000,000!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

In another post, Trump said, “Just think of it! Between Mueller, Deranged Jack Smith, and Congressional Committees, over 100 Million Dollars has been spent investigating me since I came down the escalator in Trump Tower. Biden is a criminal, and almost no money, by comparison, has been spent investigating him. Get smart, Republicans, they are trying to steal the Election from you!”

Trump’s words come on the heels of a New York Times report on the money expended for Smith’s operation, including a team of 40 to 60 federal prosecutors along with paralegals and other support staff as well as security to protect him and his family.
“In his first four months on the job, starting in November, Mr. Smith’s investigation incurred expenses of $9.2 million. That included $1.9 million to pay the U.S. Marshals Service to protect Mr. Smith, his family and other investigators who have faced threats after the former president and his allies singled them out on social media,” the paper reported. “At this rate, the special counsel is on track to spend about $25 million a year.”
“What Jack Smith is doing is actually pretty cheap considering the momentous nature of the charges,” according to former U.S. attorney Timothy J. Heaphy, the lead investigator for the J6 committee who is quoted by the outlet.
Schiff has been at the tip of the spear of the Democrats’ seven-year crusade to bring a permanent end to Trump’s political career and few have done more to poison the well of public discourse with conspiracy theories and outright lies than he has, earning a formal rebuke in the form of a censure by the House of Representatives for his maliciousness.
