The Democrats have become parodies of themselves in the Trump era with their silly stunts and overwrought theatrics, and they laid it on thicker than ever to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the J6 “insurrection” hoax.
Following a day of hearings where the usual cast of characters put on a show for the cameras, Democrat lawmakers lined up on the Capitol steps for a candlelight vigil where they warbled a rendition of “God Bless America” led by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who have presided over a Congress that has more clowns than a circus.

As far as CRINGE goes, they finally may have topped the ridiculous display of kneeling while wearing traditional African Kente cloth to honor George Floyd in the Capitol’s Emancipation Hall in June 2020.
If the intention of the candlelight vigil was to present Democrats as patriotic people of great seriousness, it failed miserably, with the performance being ridiculed by X users and spawning memes aplenty, one of them posted by Vice President JD Vance, who shared a pic of the two congressional leaders wearing sombreros.

The sombrero meme first became popular when the two amigos shut down the federal government, sticking it to Americans so that illegal aliens could get free healthcare insurance.
Other users posted their own memes and rained down mockery on the heads of the forlorn bunch of Democrat drama queens, truly the most wretched collection of misfits to ever prowl the halls of the U.S. Capitol.
