SCOTUS rules Roe v Wade OVERTURNED in direct decision, cheers erupt at Capitol

The Supreme Court of the United States has officially reversed its decision on the famous abortion rights case Roe v Wade.

On Friday, SCOTUS issued its official ruling on Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case that centered around the state of Mississippi outlawing abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The state sought the help of the Supreme Court to strike down a lower court ruling stopping the ban from being enacted.

“The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion: Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,” reads a critical part of the ruling.

Cheers erupted at the Capitol:

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., was all smiles as she arrived at the Supreme Court as the decision was being released.

While the ruling is a monumental victory for the pro-life movement, it was in no way a surprise, as a leaker had already released a draft copy of the opinion before the court had made its decision official.

Justice Clarence Thomas made it clear that they would not be “bullied” by left-wing abortion activists into changing their intended ruling, following an outcry from liberals who disagree that abortion rights should be returned to the states.

“‘We can’t be an institution that can be bullied into giving you just the outcomes you want. The events from earlier this week are a symptom of that,’ he stated, putting the left on notice that the court will not bow to pressure on whatever the final ruling is concerning Roe vs. Wade,” reported BizPac Review.
