The Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v Wade is not sitting well with progressive Democrats, namely Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who joined in with pro-choice protesters on Friday.
Specifically, she joined in a chant that called the decision “illegitimate” and called for people to get “into the streets” to voice their displeasure. It’s not clear whether this behavior constitutes an attack on democracy.

Twitter weighed in on the lawmaker’s behavior, and specifically the fact that she is smiling during the chant:
She’s smiling because she wants there to be unrest.

And she’s all smiles too! So strange for someone that is supposedly outraged

Amazing how quickly she showed up to take advantage of people’s anger and misunderstanding of the ruling. It’s almost like she does this for a living

Doesn’t this classify as calling for insurrection? I’m so confused by politiques

Reversing R vs W does not make abortion illegal it goes back to the State. As a member congress representing the bluest state in the the nation NY, she knows damn well the abortion mills will keep burning the midnight oil in her state.

AOC chanting “into the streets” if someone gets hurt can she be held accountable?
