What’s wrong with a young impressionable lad learning about responsibility and hard work while earning a few extra bucks? Everything if you’re a communist.
Somehow, some way, a short clip of a cheery young man, presumably a teen somewhere around 14 years old, working a Burger King register made it to the Internet, and boy did it trigger some leftists.
While social media is chuck-full of sickening videos showing fights, theft, and all sorts of uncivilized behavior in fast food restaurants, this polite young man struck a nerve with those who claim to decry child labor!
In the video shared by ‘Tired Peasant’ who describes herself as an ‘apocalyptic poet’ and ‘communist momma’ the boy with the tinny smile seems to know his stuff as he explains prices to a customer.
“That will be two dollars and eleven cents,” he tells the woman who ordered a cheeseburger.
Surprised by the price the customer responded by sharing some nostalgia.
“Two dollars and eleven cents? .. Cheeseburgers at McDonalds used to be 69 cents when I worked there at my first job.”
He smiles again and shows her where the napkins are.
And that’s all it took for leftists to virtual signal off an innocent young man.
“Child labor is back in action in America,” the commie mama decried.

Her tweet and comment garnered well over four thousand likes but the backlash must have been brutal because she followed up with another defensive tweet.
“You’re absolutely correct. Commies don’t want children to work. We want them to be kids.”
Well, guess what mama? Showing up on time to stand behind a counter, learn a new POS system and deal with demanding customers for a few hours a week doesn’t rob you of childhood when you’re a teen… it prepares you for life!
Needless to say, the communist’s controversial take went viral and the responses were gold:
So I’m guessing you never worked as a teenager?

This kid is going to own a Burger King before he’s 30, while you’ll probably overdose in a shit filled apartment full of cat piss.

A 14 or 15 year old kid working an easy job with virtually no risk in a low crime area for some extra spending money while getting work experience.
What’s the problem?

Ha! Probably, true.
But, wait… we got another ‘child labor’ sympathizer:
“paying the bills” bro wants to buy some shit and he’s earning it. Commies want things given to them, Capitalists work for it.

Thankfully, the comments were overwhelmingly in favor of the boy’s job, and his kind attitude.
This is almost exactly me from the 1980s, working a part time fast food job at age 15 for money to buy a car.
The experience of being responsible and having a work ethic was so traumatic that today I’m worth seven figures.

You guys think this kid has the ability to consent to sex change surgery but you have an issue with him having a part time job to save money for his future and gain valuable experience interacting with customers? I had a job like this at 13 and it was great for me. https://t.co/AQKHKHmnSP

I applaud this kid for getting a job and learning about responsibilities from such a young age. He has such an amazing attitude too! https://t.co/u1ylc63SC5
