In another indication that Democrats are more than willing to throw Hunter Biden under the bus, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said the case against the first son is “legally justified.”
During a Sunday interview on NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” Murphy made it very clear that Hunter Biden is a disturbed person worthy of prosecution. He then added that he is not on the ballot for the presidency and this in no way reflects on President Biden who is. He contends voters will be able to discern between father and son when it comes to election day.
“I think it’s legally justified,” Murphy commented after being asked whether he thinks Hunter Biden’s prosecution is political, as his lawyers have charged. “I think this is a very troubled individual who has, who has done things that are worthy of prosecution, and so I look forward to that case continuing.”
“Ultimately, the American people understand that Hunter Biden is not going to be on the ballot next fall — that Joe Biden is going to be on the ballot, and that this is a president who has led an economic recovery that has been pretty unprecedented. That’s I think going to be what matters to the American people,” he asserted.

Hunter Biden’s troubles are piling higher and higher. He was just indicted for a second time via special counsel David Weiss’s probe over his business dealings. He is facing three felony tax charges involving tax evasion and filing a false return. Biden is also being hit with six misdemeanor charges for failure to pay his taxes between 2016 and 2019.
“Weiss alleged that Hunter Biden withdrew millions from his company, subverting the payroll and tax withholding process, and ‘spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills,'” The Hill reported.
No conversation with Democrats would be complete without the bashing of former President Trump and Murphy did not disappoint. He was asked during the interview if he believes it’s inappropriate for a family member of a politician to profit off their last name.
“Frankly, when I look at the Trump family, it seems that they have made an industry out of profiting off Donald Trump’s presidency,” he responded, ignoring the fact that the Trump name was well-established long before he ran for office.
They are throwing Hunter under the bus hoping that the press will under report it and claim Joe had no Idea what was going on.

Murphy was adamant that the sins of the son do not extend to the father. An assessment that may not stand the onslaught of evidence in the case.
“I think Hunter Biden is going to be held accountable in court for any violations of the law that he’s committed. And the American public are going to get the chance to watch that play out in real-time. But what I am absolutely certain of is that the American public are going to see a distinct contrast between Joe Biden and Donald Trump,” he remarked.
Hunter Biden’s attorney seems unfazed by the new charges against his client.
“Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, dismissed the charges as part of a broader case that would not have warranted a prosecutor’s attention without the scrutiny brought by the GOP, saying in a statement this past week, ‘Based on the facts and the law, if Hunter’s last name was anything other than Biden, the charges in Delaware, and now California, would not have been brought,'” the news outlet added.
“First, U.S. Attorney Weiss bowed to Republican pressure to file unprecedented and unconstitutional gun charges to renege on a non-prosecution resolution. Now, after five years of investigating with no new evidence — and two years after Hunter paid his taxes in full — the U.S. Attorney has piled on nine new charges when he had agreed just months ago to resolve this matter with a pair of misdemeanors,” Lowell declared in a statement.
The second indictment and slate of nine charges come after a plea deal for Hunter Biden fell apart over the summer concerning his immunity from future prosecution. And there appear to be more charges in the hopper.
“Weiss has since filed charges in Delaware on three counts related to Biden’s purchase of a firearm while denying drug use he later acknowledged publicly, speaking in his book and elsewhere about his battles with addiction,” The Hill noted.
