Indiana Republican Attorney General Todd Rokita led seven attorneys general in signing a blistering letter to Target, hammering the retail giant over marketing “LGBTQIA+ promotional products” and gender identity to children during Pride Month.
The letter dated Wednesday zeroed in on Target’s Pride Month display as well as its open support for a pro-transgender organization. The letter was addressed to the Chairman and CEO of Target Corporation, Brian Cornell. Signatories on the letter included Rokita, Missouri AG Andrew Bailey, Mississippi AG Lynn Fitch, Arkansas AG Tim Griffin, Idaho AG Raul Labrador, Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron, and South Carolina AG Alan Wilson.
“As Attorneys General committed to enforcing our States’ child-protection and parental-rights laws and our States’ economic interests as Target shareholders, we are concerned by recent events involving the company’s ‘Pride’ campaign,” the letter informed Cornell.
It went on to elaborate that they are very concerned over the “promotion and sale of potentially harmful products to minors,” and a “potential interference with parental authority in matters of sex and gender identity” as well a “possible violation of fiduciary duties by the company’s directors and officers.”
This nonstop transanity doesn’t sell, and it’s damaging our state’s efforts to safeguard young Hoosiers. My office will continue working daily to protect our children and uphold parental rights. https://t.co/kzTNpgOdDv

The seven Republicans asserted that Target “wittingly marketed and sold LGBTQIA+ promotional products to families and young children as part of a comprehensive effort to promote gender and sexual identity among children.”
Of particular concern to the attorneys general was a shirt that read “homophobe headrest” next to a picture of a guillotine, as well as one that proclaimed “transphobe collector” alongside a picture of a skull.
Another shirt declared “We bash back!” next to a mace that bore the colors of the transgender pride flag. The letter contends that these products and others were part of a “Satanist-inspired” brand called Abprallen. That is evidently in reference to a product that “included the phrase ‘Satan Respects Pronouns’ with a horned ram representing Baphomet.”
The AGs went on to point out swimsuits with “tuck-friendly construction” and “extra crotch coverage.”
Right-minded Americans need to ban together to stop this cultural and moral rot. Boycotts are just the beginning.

And pivotal to the discussion is the glaring fact that Target supports the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN). They give a lot of money to the organization.
“GLSEN furnishes resources to activists for the purpose of undermining parents’ constitutional and statutory rights by supporting ‘secret gender transitions for kids,’” the letter asserts.
The letter charges that Target’s Pride campaign and support of GLSEN raises concerns “under our States’ child-protection and parental-rights laws.” They also believe that the company’s actions may have gone “against our States’ economic interests as Target shareholders.”

It’s ridiculous that every unhinged leftist who has commented on your tweet only have personal attacks against you. It’s very telling that they have no cogent argument against your and the other AG’s stance on the issue.
Keep up the good work Mr. Rokita.

“Target’s directors and officers may be negligent in undertaking the ‘Pride’ campaign, which negatively affected Target’s stock price,” the letter claims. “It may have improperly directed company resources for collateral political or social goals unrelated to the company’s and its shareholders’ best interests.”
“Directors and officers must act solely in the best interest of the company. But you have reportedly defended the campaign as ‘the right thing for society,’” the letter accuses.
“Transanity doesn’t sell,” Rokita bluntly told the CEO of Target via his government website. “Let’s all unite around pride in America instead of falling into the trap of dividing along lines of identity politics.”
