Shaq slam dunks nasty crank Keith Olbermann: ‘Shut your dumb a** up’

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal had a reputation for dealing out punishment to opponents on the court and he took his badass game to Twitter where he slam-dunked unhinged, left-wing crank Keith Olbermann for his foul-mouthed insult of Angel Reese, the star player for LSU’s newly crowned NCAA women’s basketball championship team.

The disgraced former MSNBC anchor, who now specializes in posting crazed, self-produced rants generously peppered with F-bombs that he records while holed up in his New York City apartment, was the recipient of much well-deserved criticism after he called Reese a “f**king idiot” for a gesture taunting opponent Caitlin Clark during Sunday’s title game against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

“Doesn’t matter the gender, the sport, the background – you’re seconds away from a championship and you do something like this and overshadow all the good. Mindless, classless, and what kind of coach does this team have?” Olbermann added in another tweet.

The latest pathetic ravings from the reclusive 64-year-old caught the attention of O’Neal who played his college ball at Louisiana State, and Shaq threw down on KO for his disrespect toward the young female hoops sensation.

“Shut your dumb a** up, leave Angel Reese alone,” O’Neal tweeted.

Shaq also smacked Dave Portnoy over his similarly profane description of Reese as a “classless piece of sh*t,” dragging the Barstool Sports founder’s mother into it for good measure.

To his credit, Olbermann later apologized after being shredded for his hot take.

“I apologize for being uninformed last night about the back story on this. I don’t follow hoops, college or pro, men or women. I had no idea about Clark. Both were wrong,” he tweeted.

Reese, who didn’t dignify Olbermann’s crude insult with a response, reacted with ridicule to remarks from Jill Biden that BOTH teams should be invited to the White House in what amounts to a national participation trophy for the Hawkeyes who were on the receiving end of the 102-85 championship game beatdown by her LSU Tigers.

“I know we’ll have the champions come to the White House, we always do,” the first lady said on Monday.  “So, we hope LSU will come. But, you know, I’m going to tell Joe I think Iowa should come, too, because they played such a good game.”

“A JOKE,” tweeted Reese with a link to the ESPN story that reported Mrs. Biden’s remarks.

O’Neal is regarded as one of the best NBA players of all time and has found success as a businessman, rapper, and television analyst in his post-basketball life.

A dominant force in college, O’Neal was drafted number one overall by the Orlando Magic in 1992 where he would be named rookie of the year, eventually leading the team to its first NBA finals appearance where it was swept by the Houston Rockets. He would go on to play for six teams during his storied career, a 15-time all-star who, after his retirement in 2011, hung up his cleats after playing for the Boston Celtics.
