Sleepy Joe gets booted from primetime at the DNC and it goes downhill from there

After being kicked out of primetime Monday, President Joe Biden delivered an emotional speech at the Democrat National Convention chockablock with gaffes, lies, and other assorted bull.

Speaking at 11:00 pm — hours after primetime — the president began his speech by emotionally thanking his daughter, Ashley, for having introduced him to the audience.

“To my dearest daughter, Ashley, God love you, you’re incredible,” he said. “Thanks for the introduction, and for being my courageous heart, along with Hunter and our entire family. And especially our rock, Jill, who is, those of you who know us, she still leaves me both breathless and speechless.”

Watch:

He went on to also thank Vice President Kamala Harris, who famously usurped him as the 2024 Democrat presidential candidate.

He continued by claiming that, despite being the lamest of lame-duck presidents, he’s got things to accomplish.

“I’ve got five months left of my presidency and I have a lot to do. I intend to get it done,” he said.

Meanwhile, in reality, he’s slated to vacation in Santa Ynez, California in the upcoming days, and this after weeks of him barely partaking in any public events.

The president also dubiously rebuffed claims that he’s angry about being pushed out of the presidential election.

“It’s been the honor of my lifetime to serve as your president,” Biden said. “I love the job, but I love my country more. I love my country more. And all this talk about how I’m angry with all those people who said I should step down—that’s not true.”

Listen:

He went on to claim that picking Harris as his running mate in 2020 was “the best decision I made in my whole career” and that “democracy must be preserved” by electing her as his successor.

“Let me ask you, are you ready to vote for freedom? Are we ready to fight for democracy and for America? Let me ask you, are you ready to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz?” he said.

Speaking later about the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, he made a gaffe.

“In its decision overturning Roe v. Wade, the United States Supreme Court majority wrote the following, ‘Women are not without electrical … are not, not allowed, are not without electoral or political power,'” he said.

At one point in the speech, the president gave a veritable shout-out to the violent, anti-cop, pro-Hamas demonstrators who’ve been protesting outside the Democrat National Convention.

“Those protesters out in the street have a point — a lot of innocent people are being killed on both sides,” he said.

The president also predictably attacked former President Donald Trump, calling him a “loser” and “convicted felon,” and of course once again obsessing over the one-day Jan. 6th riot.

“This will be the first presidential election since January 6th,” he said. “On that day, we almost lost everything about who we are as a country. And that threat—this is not hyperbole—that threat is still very much alive. Donald Trump says he will refuse to accept the election result if he loses again. Think about that. He means it. Think about that.”

“He’s promising a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses, in his words, and that he’ll be a dictator on ‘day one,’ in his own words. By the way, this sucker means it. No, I’m not joking. Think about it. Anybody else said that in the past, you’d think he was crazy—he is crazy—but you’d think it was an exaggeration. But he means it. We can’t let that happen,” he added.

The president also of course promoted Harris’ presidential campaign alongside vice-presidential pic Tim Walz and vowed to “volunteer” for them as needed.

“Kamala and Tim understand that this nation must continue to be a place of possibilities,” he said. “Not just for the few of us, but for all of us. Join me in promising your whole heart to this effort. And where my heart will be, I promise I’ll be the best volunteer Harris and Walz’s camp have ever seen.”
