Snoop Dogg finally does the obvious with cheeky new business adventure

Famous ‘Gin and Juice’ rapper Snoop Dogg is looking to expand his empire and has decided to do so in a cheeky, fun way by taking over the hot dog industry.

‘Snoop Doggs’ is in the works, with the artists lawyers making moves to acquire a federal trademark on the name and use it to sell franks, sausage, and other foods of the like. While the business is nowhere near ready, the rapper’s move toward getting the name trademarked means that he has serious plans to use it in the future.

Perhaps the entire idea for “Snoop Doggs” was prompted by learning how exactly the mysterious meat was made during a 2016 visit to late-night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” During the “Howz it’s Mizzade with Snoop Dogg” segment, the rapper was attempting to guess what food was being made by watching the process. At one point he guessed “Cream of Wheat” to the amusement of the audience. Once he finally guessed correctly, he appeared to be disgusted by the process (nobody wants to see how the sausage is made.) “If that’s how they make hotdogs I don’t want one. I’m good,” he commented.

But apparently that didn’t last long, or perhaps his distaste for the process led him to invest in his own way of making them.

But this isn’t the first time he has ventured out from music into the land of lifestyle. In 2015, he opened a cannabis company called “Leafs by Snoop” and published a cookbook titled “From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen.” He has also released several types of alcohol branded with his own name and founded a production company “Snoopadelic Films” which primarily releases films relating to the rapper’s life and career.

Fans may not want to get too excited just yet, however, as not all of his business plans come to fruition. His 2011 plan for an ice cream-based business called “Snoops Scoops” never got off the ground.
