Son of jailed Canadian pastor may also see jail time after preaching outside trans event

A famed Canadian pastor’s son could be facing potential jail time for preaching after officers appeared to selectively enforce a recently enacted bylaw in favor of a group of alphabet activists.

Throughout COVID, Cave of Adullam congregation pastor Rev. Artur Pawlowski notably stood up to the Canadian government and spent more than 50 days in two separate prisons in defense of religious liberty. Saturday, his son Nathaniel Pawlowski followed that example when he confronted protesters outside the Calgary Public Library waving “trans” and “pride” flags while inside a drag queen story time event was taking place for children.

“We went there just to preach, read the Bible and just speak,” he told Fox News Digital after sharing video where he and friend Deklan Friesen were escorted away from the library, seemingly due to a violation of a recently passed Safe and Inclusive Access Bylaw.

“I asked the peace officers if they are going to enforce the same law on to the other side with the Antifa protesters, and he assured me [they would]. So, I waited the entire time until they left, and nobody was served a ticket except for myself and my friend for preaching, reading the Bible and holding a prayer vigil,” Pawlowski asserted.

According to the bylaw passed on March 14, “a person must not engage in specified protest on publicly accessible property within 100 metres of an entrance to a recreational facility or a library.”

It defines “specified protest” as “an expression of objection or disapproval towards an idea or action related to race religious beliefs, colour, gender, gender identity, gender expression, physical disability, mental disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status or sexual orientation by any means, including graphic, verbal, or written means, but does not include messaging at an event scheduled by a recreational facility.”

While the stipulation could presumably protect the radical activists outside the library because the messaging aligned with the event within, in the video, an officer can be heard replying “Yeah” when asked if only those who oppose Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek were being penalized.

“They’re just doing the bidding of the mayor and going after who the mayor opposes…because she is completely biased against anyone who disagrees with this alphabet community agenda,” Pawlowski told Fox News Digital.

Worth noting, the flag-waving protesters happened to be within 100 meters of the entrance to the East Village Community Church of which the cross can be seen prominently displayed beyond Pawlowski as he preaches.

Of equal import was the fact that the issued tickets cited no actual penalty.

“[Police] said that the detectives have to review the evidence on me and that they will be stopping by my home to issue charges,” he explained. “So, I assume that means additional charges, I’m not really sure. But they said they’d be coming to my house to issue more charges.”

The crackdown in Calgary was just another example of policies sweeping Canada opposing religious objections to the rainbow mafia’s widespread influence. Two weeks prior in Vancouver, Chris Elston reported being assaulted by a group holding a “Trans Day of Visibility” rally in a public park only to have his concerns seemingly brushed off by the police.

Meanwhile, a Toronto politician was actively working to provide the attorney general power to deem areas “community safety zones” wherein counter-protesters would face $25,000 penalties for “any homophobic/transphobic act of intimidation, threat, offensive threats, offensive remarks, protests, disturbance and distribution of hate propaganda within the meaning of the criminal code.”

Though not yet specified, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had reported that each violation of the Calgary City Council’s modified bylaws could mean up to a $10,000 fine or six months in jail.

“I think young people have had enough of this agenda being shoved down their throats on every corner,” Pawlowski told Fox News Digital. “Every facet of society is pushing this on us. You’ve got mainstream media, movies, TV, Big Tech, all social media, the government, laws. All aspects of society are just constantly shoving this down our throats, and it’s so openly against biology, truth, objective reality and morality.”

“My religious beliefs are not coherent with this agenda, so I think a lot of people feel the same, and they’re going to start pushing against this as well,” he suggested.
