Soros-linked protesters organizing ‘ICE Out of Home Depot’ vigils this weekend

George Soros-linked protest groups are organizing anti-immigration enforcement rallies at more than 100 Home Depot and detention center locations nationwide this weekend.

Dubbed the “ICE Out of Home Depot Vigil,” these events will take place on Saturday, Nov. 1, at multiple Home Depot locations “in honor of all the workers who have been kidnapped by ICE on Home Depot properties,” according to organizers.

“Join us in a day of action and make your voice heard. Tell Home Depot: ICE Out!,” an event page stated. “All over the country, ICE agents are targeting immigrants in and around Home Depot, attacking and terrorizing workers, customers, and surrounding communities. The raids are terrifying, chaotic and sometimes deadly.”

The organizers are targeting Home Depot for not vocally opposing the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.

“These atrocities are happening on Home Depot’s watch, on its properties, with its silence,” the event description declares. “The Home Depot company has not resisted or condemned these raids. It has not publicly demanded that the Administration stop assaulting and abducting people on and outside its properties. As far as we know, it hasn’t even asked.”

“With its silence and inaction, Home Depot has become ICE’s passive partner,” the description continued. “With every new raid, Home Depot is helping ICE meet its arrest quotas, fill private prisons, and spread fear in our communities.”

On Wednesday, ICE agents raided a Home Depot parking lot in southeast Houston, detaining around 120 suspected illegal immigrants.

Home Depot said in a statement, “We aren’t notified that immigration enforcement activities are going to happen, and we aren’t involved in the operations. We’re required to follow all federal and local rules and regulations in every market where we operate.”

The groups behind the protests are a part of the Disappeared in America project, hosted by the Public Citizen Foundation, the National Day Laborers Organizing Network, the Workers Circle, and the Detention Watch Network, Blaze Media reported.

“The George Soros’ Open Society Foundations has made nearly two dozen grant donations, totaling over $6 million, to the Public Citizen Foundation since 2016. It has donated $700,000 directly to the Detention Watch Network and another $835,000 to the Tides Center ‘to support the Detention Watch Network,'” the conservative outlet reported.
