Actress/activist Cynthis Nixon appeared at a “Gays for Zohran” rally and encouraged gullible members of the LGBTQ community to support Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist frontrunner for mayor of New York.
The endorsement by the star of HBO’s Sex and the City came amid reports that Mamdani recently met with a Ugandan official who has pushed a law to jail gays for life, according to Breitbart News.
“Gays for Zohran! Sign up with them, canvas in your neighborhood, door knock, tell people from the heart why you are voting for Zohran, and why you think they should, too,” Nixon said at the event.

Mamdani, who holds dual citizenship in both Uganda and the United States, was photographed with Rebecca Kadaga, a Ugandan official who has pushed anti-LGBTQ policies, including life imprisonment for gay people — Mamdani claimed he didn’t know Kadaga but his father reportedly knew the official for years.

Kadaga is First Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda and she announced in 2012, as a parliament speaker, that she was passing a draconian law imposing severe penalties against gay people, according to the New York Post.
In 2024, the Ugandan government upheld the Anti-Homosexuality Act, which is another law that criminalizes members of the LGBT community by establishing the death penalty and penalties of up to life in prison, according to Human Rights Watch.

You know, sometimes people need to realize the consequences of their voting. Thankfully, I don’t live in NYC. However, if Mamdani wins….these people who are pandering to him will soon find out they’ve been played.
