Kathy Griffin is practically begging people to buy tickets to her upcoming comedy tour while admitting that the demand is not great.
Behind a heavy layer of makeup and freshly-styled hair, the comedian posted a video announcing she just had “another voice surgery,” and that she has contracted COVID-19. Griffin also announced that she is “heartbroken” because she’s getting a divorce — saving this savory tidbit until last.
Griffin claims she is suffering from PTSD due to the backlash over her posing with a replica of the bloody severed head of then-President Donald Trump, yet she complains about ticket sales in areas that overwhelmingly voted for Trump.
She pleaded for people to buy tickets while sharing the video online, tweeting: “Living by the wise words of my dear friend Joan Rivers during these times!! ‘When you’re heartbroken you’re your funniest’ right now I must be a riot!! This tour means everything to me so don’t miss out and please buy your tickets!!”

“So, here’s what I’m here to talk to you about. It’s all about the tour, man. Just freaking get me to opening night in Des Moines. And Omaha is not selling well. First of all, there’s not enough people there,” Griffin said in the video.
“I need comedy fans to come out and see me in Kansas City. Come on! I need sell-outs. I’ve been through hell,” she added, embracing her perceived victimhood. “I have been through so much crap since my last tour. I actually just have to laugh at it. I just have to laugh.”
Griffin shares that she does not talk about Trump in her show, before sounding off about the E. Jean Carroll trial. She also plays the sexist card, saying that female comedians are not greeted the same as male comedians.
“But come see me, for God’s sake,” she pleaded.
Suffice it to say, social media users were not impressed… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from X:
Nobody wants to see a feded, haggard, busted z-list celebrity beg for people to give her money. You can’t satisfy a man, woman, or audience with your screeching nagging voice. Just go back to being an absolute nobody and we will go back to ignoring your nobody ass.

I’ll make you a deal. Start with a public apology to Trump and I’ll buy your tickets.
