‘Spare’ shockers: Harry says brother, Kate loved Nazi costume, William physically attacked him over Markle

Set for release next Tuesday is Prince Harry’s first-ever memoir, “Spare,” and within the book are reportedly about 1,001 bombshell revelations slated to rock the world.

For instance, remember when Prince Harry wore a Nazi uniform to a costume party way back in 2005? In his memoir, he reportedly somewhat blames this mistake on his brother, Prince William, and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

“The Duke of Sussex will claim the Prince and Princess of Wales ‘howled with laughter’ when they saw him dressed up for the 2005 party,” according to Page Six.

Which apparently left him thinking that it was OK after all to wear the Nazi uniform to the aforementioned costume party.

Here’s an even bigger bombshell: Prince William and Prince Harry once duked it out over Harry’s own spouse, Meghan Markle.

According to The Guardian, the 2019 argument at Harry’s London home began when William called Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.”

The two traded insults, after which point Harry reportedly retreated into the kitchen, and William followed closely behind him.

Harry then handed William a glass of water and said, “Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this.”

That’s when William allegedly snapped.

“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast,” Harry reportedly writes in his memoir.

“He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out,” he adds.

William, in turn, demanded Harry fight back, but the younger prince refused, prompting William to briefly leave but then return soon after “looking regretful” and ready to apologize.

William then left again, but reportedly not without first turning and calling back to Harry, “You don’t need to tell Meg about this.”

“You mean that you attacked me?” Harry replied.

“I didn’t attack you, Harold,” William responded.

To Harry’s credit, he initially didn’t tell Markle, though he did tell his therapist about the fight. But when Markle later noticed the “scrapes and bruises” on him, Harry buckled under pressure and spilled the beans.

He writes in his memoir that she “wasn’t that surprised, and wasn’t all that angry,” though she was “terribly sad.”

In another segment of the book, Harry describes what allegedly happened after his grandfather, Prince Phillip, died in April of 2021.

During a meeting between him, his brother, and his father (then-Prince Charles), the latter stood between the warring brothers, looked at their faces, and reportedly said, “Please, boys, don’t make my final years a misery.”

Neither Prince William nor anyone else at Buckingham Palace has commented on these bombshell allegations — and for a good reason, according to royal expert Kinsey Schofield.

“The royal family is bracing for negative headlines, but they have survived much worse. They are confident that this is only temporary, and their team gets the sense that people are very much over this storyline. If the royal family responds, then it keeps Harry and Meghan’s drama going,” she said to Fox News.

“If they remain quiet and Harry and Meghan keep beating the same drum, people will grow increasingly tired of this very shallow storyline. Harry and Meghan are an inconvenience to the royal family, but they are not a dominant focus. The more distance the family places between the Sussexes and themselves, Harry and Meghan’s royal brand begins to fail. Then all we are left with is reality stars,” she added.

Fair point?

Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich said virtually the same.

“As Harry well knows, the royal family don’t speak freely about their feelings, and nor is he. The operative word here is ‘freely.’ Literally and figuratively, Harry has sold his soul as he was paid by Netflix to bear his soul. Since the royal family will not be speaking freely, and haven’t sold their souls, we can gather from many that they are ‘completely exhausted’ and ‘weary’ with the misinformation from Harry,” she told Fox News.

“Historically and culturally the British tend to let actions speak louder than words. King Charles inviting them to the coronation shows that they are ‘keeping calm and carrying on.’ That infamous motto was a way of life for Brits during The Blitz because… it’s what is expected of the royal family by the British public and the Commonwealth at large,” she added.

The Guardian notes that the “unifying theme” for Harry’s whole book is the idea that he was always the “spare” member of the Royal Family.

Indeed, Harry at one point recalls a story about what his father, now King Charles, said to his mother, Princess Diana, the day he was born: “Wonderful! Now you’ve given me an heir and a spare – my work is done.”
