Speaker Johnson asks if Biden ‘knew what he was signing’ after Trans Visibility Day proclamation denial

President Joe Biden reacted to criticism from Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) regarding a White House proclamation in his name recognizing Easter Sunday as Trans Day of Visibility by bizarrely denying that he issued the proclamation.

“He’s thoroughly uninformed,” Biden said of Speaker Johnson during Monday’s Easter Egg Roll at the White House. When pressed by a reporter on how Johnson was uninformed, the 81-year-old geriatric president said, “I didn’t do that.”

All of which may be even more troubling, according to the speaker.

“Well, it’s his own signature on the document. That’s why we posted it,” he said during an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity. “The evidence speaks for itself, as we used to say in the courtroom.”

“[I]t’s highly possible that he doesn’t even know what he’s signing,” he added. “[T]hat might be even more alarming.”

Johnson took to X to denounce the proclamation prior to Biden’s denial, tweeting: “The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day’—is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note.”

After Biden denied the proclamation, the GOP leader shared the document that stated in part, “Now, therefore, I, Joseph R. Biden Jr., President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.”

The speaker asked, “This you?”

The story prompts serious concerns about how aware a cognitively -challenged Biden is of the daily goings on and who is really pulling the strings in the White House.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
