Squad members hurl racist accusations, cry victim and literal tears in melt downs over Ilhan Omar’s ouster

The infamous “Squad” of far-left Democrats threw a temper tantrum/pity party on Thursday after House Republicans finally moved forward to oust Rep. Ilhan Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee over her rabid antisemitism.

Every member of the “Squad,” including Omar, delivered either an angry or tearful speech bemoaning her ouster as some sort of act of grand evil.

Leading the pity party was Omar, who delivered a speech in which she falsely framed her ouster as an attack on her status as an American citizen.

Listen:

“This debate today — it’s about who gets to be an American. What opinions do we have to have to be counted as Americans. This is what this debate is about,” she said.

No, the debate is about whether someone who hates Israel as much as Omar does should have a place on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Next up was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who falsely framed Omar’s ouster as an attack on Muslim women.

“One of the disgusting legacies after 9/11 has been the targeting and racism against Muslim Americans throughout the United States of America. And this is an extension of that legacy. Consistency. There is nothing consistent with the Republican Party’s continued attack, except for the racism and incitement of violence against women of color in this body,” she angrily barked while flinging her arms about.

Listen:

Next was Rep. Cori Bush, a Black Lives Matter zealot who framed Omar’s ouster as an act of white supremacy.

“St. Louis and I rise in support of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. I’ve been to her district. I’ve spoken with her constituents. We visited marginalized communities together. This institution is better because of her leadership, and the Foreign Affairs Committee benefits from her perspective,” she said.

“So let’s talk about what’s really happening. Republicans are waging a blatantly Islamophobic and racist attack on Congresswoman Omar. And I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: The white supremacy happening is unbelievable. This is despicable,” she complained.

Except Omar isn’t the only Democrat who’s been ousted. So have Reps. Eric Swalwell and Adam Schiff, both of whom have also been removed from top committees because of their own bad behavior. And FYI, both men are white.

Listen to Bush below:

Next was Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who broke down in tears as she falsely framed Omar’s ouster as an act of censorship.

Republicans chose to “censor Congresswoman Omar in the same week they introduced a bill to ban federal employees from engaging in censorship. Where are the free speech warriors today? The hypocrisy is obvious to the American people. you are showing who you all are really,” she blurted as she started to break down in tears.

To be clear, protecting the extremely important House Foreign Affairs Committee from the influence of an antisemite like Omar is not an act of censorship. If anything, some might argue that it’s an act of patriotism and love of country.

Last up was House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who isn’t technically a member of the “Squad,” but might as well be.

Indeed, speaking to reporters Thursday, he defended Omar, while also at least — unlike his peers — admitting some of the wrongs she’s committed.

Listen:

“Now the other thing that’s going to occur today relates to this effort to remove, in a partisan fashion, Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, after House Democrats unanimously voted for Ilhan to continue her service on the Foreign Affairs Committee,” he said.

“A refugee elected to the United Staes Congress. Duly sent back to the House by her constituents in Minnesota. Now, Rep. Omar certainly has made mistakes. She has used antisemitic tropes that were clearly and unequivocally condemned by House Democrats when it took place four years ago,” he added.

Apparently, Republicans are just supposed to forget what she said four years ago, not to mention what she’s said and done since.

Unfortunately for Democrats, Republicans chose not to forget.

“Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was kicked off the House Foreign Affairs Committee in a party-line vote. … The resolution explicitly condemns Omar for using an antisemitic trope to suggest Israel’s allies in U.S. politics were motivated by money rather than principle when she in 2019 tweeted, ‘It’s all about the Benjamins baby,'” The Washington Post reported.

“The resolution also disapproves of Omar’s critiques of Israel and her comparison of actions by the United States to those of terrorist groups. She later clarified those comments, saying, ‘I was in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems.'”

Nice try though, Democrats …
