A bizarre claim about President Donald Trump’s family has social media wondering if Stephen King has finally lost it.
The anti-Trump writer has made it his mission to trash the president and his family, using social media to further his agenda. On Sunday, he posted a strange message to X that inspired quite the backlash, as it claimed that the president has “never had a child.”
Look:
Trump:
Has never had a child.
Has been married 3 times
Ran several businesses into the ground
Never ran a home, couldn’t make a bed to save his ass
calls people he works with dumb, losers, etc.
Has never done sweat labor
Has never served on a local committee
Has no life…— Stephen King (@StephenKing) February 23, 2026
“Trump: Has never had a child. Has been married 3 times. Ran several businesses into the ground. Never ran a home, couldn’t make a bed to save his ass. [C]alls people he works with dumb, losers, etc. Has never done sweat labor. Has never served on a local committee. Has no life experience,” King wrote, baffling readers. The first claim, especially, had people confused, given that he most definitely has had several children.
X users weighed in:

Stephen King, did you not learn the last time you got sued for slander?

“Ran several businesses into the ground.”
Partially true, but incomplete. Several Trump business ventures filed for bankruptcy (notably casino entities in Atlantic City). However, bankruptcy in large-scale real estate and hospitality is often a strategic restructuring tool.— Christian News Junkie (@rlsnewsjunkie) February 24, 2026

Let’s apply King’s standards to himself. He has not served on a local committee in the traditional civic résumé sense as part of a path to office. Nor has he held public office.

Barron does look a lot like Trump. I would be surprised if he is not Trump’s son.
