It’s bad enough that illegal immigrants all but mock U.S. laws as they enter the country practically at will under the Biden administration, but two Honduran nationals added insult to injury when they shot and killed an American bald eagle in Nebraska with the intention of cooking and eating the bird.
Par for the course under President Biden, federal authorities don’t seem to care that foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally killed the bald eagle, which is the national bird of the United States.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger appeared Monday on “Fox & Friends First” and explained that he called federal authorities but has yet to get an answer on how they intend to handle the incident.
Killing a bald eagle is a violation of the 1940 Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, and carries a penalty of up to one year in prison. It’s a federal law and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service must bring charges.
“We find this very alarming, I’m sure nationwide, but locally it’s been very alarming to the citizens,” Unger said, explaining that he has reached out to the agency multiple times without a reply.
The two men were found with the dead bird when deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity, according to a Stanton County Sheriff’s Office press release. Unger said they did not speak English and had no form of identification other than documents from the Honduran consulate — this being the new America under President Joe Biden, where a literal invasion along the border has resulted in well over 5 million illegal immigrants entering the U.S. in a two year period.
The men were cited for unlawful possession of the eagle, a misdemeanor charge — Sheriff Unger said that was the “most we can do.”
What’s more, the men were essentially allowed to go on their way because Nebraska law dictates they can’t be held in jail before their trial on March 28 — the odds of them showing up for the trial are slim.
Unger added that the bald eagle was shot on private property and the property owners are very upset, “They initially called us just because of the concern of somebody being on their property.”
“People locally that I’ve talked to are quite upset, and they wish for something to be done. And the federal government is the one that really has the authority and the ability to prosecute these gentlemen to the highest degree,” Unger told the “Fox & Friends” early morning crew. “I have tried [to call] numerous times and I have yet to speak to a human.”
