Disgraced former House Intelligence Committee Democrat Eric Swalwell isn’t adjusting well to his new role as a member of the minority party and the salty Californian lashed out at his Republican colleague, Rep. Jim Jordan over the issue of compliance with subpoenas.
During a Thursday hearing on “responsiveness and accountability” to committee oversight, Rep. Swalwell took exception to Jordan who is now the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee over a number of subpoenas that he has issued, including to a top member of the Biden regime’s disbanded Disinformation Governance Board.
Swalwell, a notorious spendthrift whose alleged canoodling with a female Chinese spy nicknamed “Fang Fang” contributed to the loss of his seat on the powerful Intel committee, suggested that Jordan was a hypocrite for issuing the subpoenas while noting that he did not comply with a subpoena issued by the defunct January 6 select committee, a partisan sham that brazenly lied to the American people.
Last year, the Ohio Republican declined to cooperate with former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked panel and its partisan witch hunt, a committee whose already dismal credibility was further eroded by this week’s release of previously unseen surveillance video footage from the day of the so-called “insurrection,” showing that J6 committee members’ case was constructed upon a fraudulent foundation.
“I think that it is quite rich that we are talking about subpoena compliance under a chairman of the full committee who was absolutely out of subpoena compliance in the last Congress,” Swalwell said, in more of the typical whining and obfuscation that has been a hallmark of grumbling minority House Democrats.
“So we’re gonna haul witnesses in here today and claim that they did not comply with subpoenas or requests,” he added. “And that request is so rich because it’s coming from a chairman who himself did not comply with the Jan. 6 committee’s requests.”
Resorting to the typical theatrics that are used by Democrat lawmakers, the unshaven Swalwell then displayed a projection of the subpoena to bolster his contention that Jordan is a hypocrite, a smokescreen to undermine the legitimate oversight of Biden’s rogue government which has trampled civil liberties.
“No compliance,” Swalwell said. “Crickets. Absolute defiance of a subpoena. And because of that defiance, the chairman was referred – and still pending – to the House Ethics Committee.”
One of those who was subpoenaed by Jordan is Nina Jankowicz, the loopy, self-proclaimed “Mary Poppins of disinformation” who was slated to head up the Department of Homeland Security’s chilling domestic censorship bureau which some likened to the “Ministry of Truth” from George Orwell’s “1984,” the classic novel on totalitarian government and Big Brother.

Also receiving subpoenas from Jordan were two officials who co-signed a letter to Biden calling for the federal government to target concerned parents who turned out at school board meetings to protest “woke” degeneracy and COVID mask and vaccine mandates, leading to a Justice Department memorandum directing the politicized FBI to establish a “threat tag” to investigate the parents.
“Today, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) subpoenaed Chip Slaven, Viola Garcia, and Nina Jankowicz to appear before the Committee for a deposition. Each official has ignored voluntary requests for a transcribed interview,” the Judiciary Committee announced in a March 6 press release.
“Chip Slaven, the former Interim Executive Director and CEO of the National School Boards Association (NSBA), and Viola Garcia, the former President of the NSBA, co-signed the September 2021 letter to President Biden requesting federal law enforcement assistance to target parents voicing concerns at local school board meetings. That letter led to an October 4, 2021, memorandum that directed the FBI to establish a “threat tag” to investigate Americans,” the release read. “Nina Jankowicz is the former executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s now-disbanded Disinformation Governance Board.”
