As Americans continue to struggle to put food on the table and a secure roof over their heads, Fox News host Jessica Tarlov claims that President Joe Biden has a “tremendous economic record to run on” in his bid to hold onto the White House, and she blasted Republicans for trying to “take credit” for his accomplishments.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Five,” co-host Jeanine Pirro cited a study from Northwestern Mutual that found that “Americans believe they will need $1.27 million to retire comfortably.”
“The average person who responded to this has $89,000,” Pirro noted.
Tarlov admitted that it’s something “everybody worries about.”
“We wanted to buy an apartment,” she said. “It just doesn’t make sense. The amount of interest that we’re going to pay on principle, [it’s] just not worth it for us now, so we’re going to pay a highly inflated rent because we need to stay in the city for work.”
“It’s a problem,” Tarlov continued. “Millennials are not able to get on the property ladder, which was a hallmark of what the American dream was. It’s an issue, but Joe Biden has a tremendous economic record to run on.”
As the presidential race begins to heat up in earnest, Biden’s Twitter feed has been full of “Bidenomics.”
“My Administration has created more jobs in two years than any previous administration has created in the first four years,” the president tweeted on Tuesday. “It’s no accident. It means our economic plan is working and this is only the beginning.”

Tarlov pointed to “a nifty chart” that is making the social media rounds, showing that the U.S. has “the highest post-pandemic growth in the G7 and the lowest inflation.”
Two graphs I bet the White House is going to be showing off together a bunch:

The jobs America lost during the COVID-19 pandemic “came back,” Tarlov stated, “and then we’re gaining jobs at a faster clip than we did under the Trump presidency.”
She also highlighted Biden’s “35,000 infrastructure projects.”
Among those projects is the president’s vow to bring “high-speed internet” to the masses.
“High-speed internet isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity,” the president tweeted. “Our bipartisan infrastructure law is funding 35,000 projects across America, including hundreds of projects for high-speed internet. And to date, 19 million families are saving at least $30 a month thanks to our plan.”

Tarlov trashed the Republicans who voted against the infrastructure law but are now praising the access to broadband.
“Before you say, ‘Oh, you’re not going to see a bridge for 20 years or whatever,’ there are Republican senators humiliating themselves on Twitter now, talking about how excited they are that the broadband is coming to them,” she stated.
And, sadly, it’s true.
“Broadband is vital for the success of our rural communities and for our entire economy,” Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville tweeted on Tuesday. “Great to see Alabama receive crucial funds to boost ongoing broadband efforts.”
Community Notes promptly added a bit of damning context to the post: “Senator Tuberville voted against the bill that is providing this funding.”

The apparent hypocrisy did not escape the president’s Twitter team.
“See you at the groundbreaking,” Biden replied with more than a hint of sarcasm.

And the senator wasn’t the only conservative to praise the program after voting against the law that made it possible.
Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), and Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) “have been doing it” too, Tarlov stated.
“These are people who voted against the things that their constituents are now going to get, and they want to take credit,” she said, “and they don’t deserve it for voting against it.”
