The vital work of federal immigration authorities to send criminal illegal aliens back to where they belong is being undermined by left-wing saboteurs at every step of the way, including by teacher’s unions.
In a shocking video showing how deeply the resistance to saving America is dug in, a representative for a powerful New York City teacher’s union coaches educators on how to assist illegals to evade U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents if they receive a home visit as well as instructing them how to produce “red cards” to distribute, tools to aid the foreigners during encounters with agents.
The recent Zoom video was obtained by the New York Post and shows United Federation of Teachers representative Katie Kurjakovic explaining how to protect illegal alien students and their families from potential deportation.
NEW: New York City teachers’ union is coaching illegal immigrant families on how to avoid ICE at home and in public.
The United Federation of Teachers is telling teachers to print and hand out “red cards” in newly leaked footage obtained by the New York Post.

“If ICE comes to the home, you do not have to open the door. In fact, you should not open the door,” she said in the hourlong workshop that took place last week.
“If you open the door but leave the chain on … that could be interpreted as allowing ICE in, so you should keep the door closed and remain silent. Say ‘I plead the fifth and choose to remain silent,’” Kurjakovic instructed the teachers.
For those who don’t speak English, they could slip a “red card” under the door, she said, referring to the materials created by the nonprofit Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC).
“I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign or hand you any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution,” the cards state in English and other languages.
A reminder that you can scoop up our red cards to self-print or order in a myriad of languages:

The cards also state, “I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights.”
Kurjakovic advised the teachers that they could go to the ILRC’s website where they can obtain and print out the cards.
The union rep also said that teachers should advise illegals to only carry city-issued identification or library cards.
“We know from our immigrant advocacy groups it’s very important at this time that people not carry any documentation that [suggests] they were born in another country because that can raise questions,” she said.
“Sharing information so educators, students, and their families know their rights is what education is all about,” a spokesperson for the union said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “We share guidance from the city and state to help our educators navigate an ever more complicated world.”
Border Czar Tom Homan recently warned Democrat-controlled cities and states that resist the new administration’s deportation efforts.
“We’re just trying to help public safety in your community,” he told Fox News last month. “Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don’t want — more agents in the communities, more people arrested, more collaterals arrested. So that’s a game they want to play? Game on.”
