Team DeSantis declines The View’s offer to appear on the show in EPIC fashion, posts savage response

An ABC producer reached out to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ deputy press secretary Bryan Griffin to invite the popular Republican to appear on “The View” and it’s not that the invite was turned down — after all, DeSantis is a smart guy –but it’s HOW it was rejected that’s getting a lot of attention.

“I hope you’re having a good summer. I am reaching out to invite Gov. Ron DeSantis to be our special guest on THE VIEW next season, which starts Sept. 6,” Todd Polkes wrote in an email to Griffin. “We would be honored to have him join us in studio sometime in the Fall.”

Griffin responded by sharing the invitation online, asking followers for their thoughts while sharing a clip of the lion’s den that would await the governor.

But he didn’t stop there. Griffin also posted their response to the invitation

“I understand that you are sending this request on behalf of your team,” Griffin replied. “But are the hosts of the View really interested in hearing from Governor DeSantis about all of the important work he is doing on behalf of Floridians to protect their health and livelihoods, to stand up for parents and children, and to defend freedom?”

“Which of the below statements from the hosts of the View do you recommend our team consider when deciding if the interview will be a genuine pursuit of the truth?” he asked. “Or worth the time?”

The email then shared comments from the liberal harpies on the show smearing DeSantis, including cohost Sunny Hostin calling him “Death-Santis” and a “fascist” and “bigot.” Cohost Joy Behar was also featured, calling DeSantis a “negligent homicidal sociopath” and claiming he had a “white supremacist base.” Despicable Ana Navarro, who called DeSantis’s policies “anti-Black,” “anti-gay,” and “anti-American,” was also included.

“We will pass on this offer,” Griffin said, in closing.

DeSantis’ press secretary Christina Pushaw responded to Griffin’s tweet to say, “Perfect. There is nothing that infuriates liberals more than seeing their own insane words repeated back to them in black and white.”

The epic response was pure brilliance and brought on plenty of online hilarity:
