Team Trump lashes out at DeSantis, Haley for ‘radio silence’ over Dem witch hunt as one opponent speaks out

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is taking heat for his silence over the latest front of the Democrat war on former President Donald J. Trump, this time a looming indictment by New York City prosecutors and a possible arrest of the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican Party nomination.

DeSantis, who is seen as Trump’s top rival even though he hasn’t yet declared his candidacy, has been conspicuously absent from the list of Republicans who have spoken on the unprecedented action, a move by Democrats against an opposition party leader which would normally be seen in a corrupt banana republic police state.

One of those who is lashing out at DeSantis is Trump advisor Jason Miller who accused the rising GOP star of “radio silence” in a tweet thanking former vice president Mike Pence and 2024 Republican party hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, both of whom have criticized rabidly partisan Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over his starring role in the latest installment of the great Trump hunt.

‘Thank you, Vice President @Mike_Pence and @VivekGRamaswamy, for pointing out how Radical Left Democrats are trying to divide our Country in the name of Partisan Politics,” wrote Miller. “Radio silence from Gov. @RonDeSantisFL and Amb.@NikkiHaley. ”

Miller also included former South Carolina governor and United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, a frequent critic of her former boss who has already declared her White House candidacy and who, like DeSantis, has yet to comment on Bragg’s witch hunt.

Among declared candidates, Ramaswamy – an author and biotech entrepreneur – has been the most vocal about Bragg’s bold move against Trump using ginned-up charges from an alleged 2016 “hush money” payment to stripper and porn queen Stormy Daniels to justify indicting and possibly having Trump handcuffed and perp-walked on national television.

In a video posted to Twitter, the “CEO of Anti-Woke Inc.” ripped Bragg for the malicious prosecution.

“The Manhattan DA explicitly *campaigned* on investigating Trump. This is a textbook case of politicizing prosecutorial power. The argument that Trump shouldn’t be ‘above the law’ is a straw man: the only reason the DA is even considering this case is ‘because’ it’s Trump. This shouldn’t be about the person. It’s about principle. I pray for our country that the DA does the right thing here & drops this,” he wrote along with a video of his take on the fascistic actions of the George Soros-backed district attorney.

Also ripping DeSantis – although not mentioning him by name – was Donald Trump Jr. who took to Twitter to suggest that the Sunshine State Republican will be judged harshly if he doesn’t come out against the heavy-handed move by Democrats to knock his father out of the race.

The younger Trump’s dad strongly suspects that Bragg – a loyal soldier of the Democratic Party – isn’t acting on his own and that powerful forces are the ones pulling the strings behind the scenes, specifically President Joe Biden.

“Biden wants to pretend he has nothing to do with the Manhattan D.A.’s Assault on Democracy when, in fact, he has ‘stuffed’ the D.A.’s Office with Department of Injustice people, including one top DOJ operative from D.C. who is actually running the ‘Horseface’ Witch Hunt,” Trump wrote in a scathing post on his Truth Social platform.

“Bragg is a (Soros) Racist in Reverse, who is taking his orders from D.C. I beat them TWICE, doing much better the second time, and despite their DISINFORMATION campaign, they don’t want to run against ‘TRUMP’ or my GREAT RECORD!” Trump added.

Miller’s callout of DeSantis comes only days after Team Trump filed a complaint against him with the Florida Commission on Ethics, accusing the governor of violating Florida state law with his “shadow presidential campaign” and calling for the “most severe penalties permitted,” including disqualifying him from the ballot.
