Ted Cruz says Dems will pull the plug on Biden and predicts who will replace him

It may no longer be a matter of whether President Joe Biden will be ending his reelection campaign but when, and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) predicted that the Democrats will jettison the deeply unpopular octogenarian and who will be tabbed as his replacement: former first lady Michelle Obama.

Democrats were rocked by a new poll showing that Biden would lose 5 out of 6 critical swing states to Republican frontrunner Donald J. Trump if the election was held today and soon after the dismal numbers came out, Barack Obama’s right-hand man David Axelrod administered what is being interpreted by some as the kiss of death to the incumbent’s long political career.

The Lone Star State Republican is one of those who see Axelrod’s hinting that it is time for Biden to call it a career and he appeared on Fox News to discuss the latest developments with “Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade on Monday’s edition of the popular morning show.

“David Axelrod coming out against Joe Biden the way he did, how he’s doing it, telling him it’s up to you to drop out, it’s all on you, Joe, is there something more to that than a ..someone who’s well-known and respected in political circles? Is there something else?” Kilmeade asked.

“Look, I think that’s very serious, it’s been my view for a long time that Barack Obama has been the person pulling the strings behind Joe Biden,” Cruz responded. “Joe Biden is clearly not up to it. I think Obama is the one making the decision and Axelrod is Obama’s right hand.”

“And we’ve seen for the last six months more and more warning signs that the Democrats are getting scared,” he continued. “Biden is not up to it. Even with his diminished capacity they don’t think he can do it. I said on my podcast three months ago ‘Verdict with Ted Cruz.’ I predicted that there was a very real chance that the Democrats would jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama and that they’d do it at the convention next summer. I think the chances of that happening  are rising every day.”

Kilmeade noted, “She’s never been scrutinized.”

“She has not,” Cruz agreed. “And look, the reason I say Michelle Obama is if Biden gets out of the way, the person who’s next is Kamala Harris and she’s a very flawed candidate. They know that. In the Democratic party they can’t push Kamala Harris aside and replace her with a white guy.”

“They can’t drop Gavin Newsom in over an African-American woman and not have their party lose its mind. Michelle Obama is the one person who can drop in and do that and not fracture their party,” he said.

“I don’t know if she would do it. I do think Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration,” Cruz said on is podcast in September. “I think he is already the puppet master, behind this Biden White House, I don’t think Joe Biden is the decision maker. And so, when I see the media turning on Joe Biden right now, I think the odds of Michelle Obama parachuting in in August of 2024 have risen dramatically.”

Other than maybe entertainment mogul Oprah Winfrey, the former FLOTUS is the only one who could stave off a revolt among the crucial demographic of black voters – especially black women – if VP Kamala Harris doesn’t get the nod if and when Biden is jettisoned and it is imperative to the party’s continued control that they keep that part of the base on the Democratic Party plantation.
