Tenn Dems who hijacked House session stripped of committee assignments, may face expulsion

Three Democratic state lawmakers in Tennessee are now facing the consequences of foregoing their responsibilities as representatives to join gun control advocates in protesting the legislature of which they are members.

State Reps. Justin Jones, Justin J. Pearson and Gloria Johnson, all Democrats, were stripped of their committee assignments and had their badges to the capitol deactivated. They face possible expulsion from the House after participating in the storming of the state Capitol last week after the shooting at a Nashville Christian school, according to WPLN.

Six people were killed in the shooting, including three 9-year-old children, by a transgender gunman, who was also killed by police.

Democratic voters continue a trend of electing hard-left political activists to represent them and when these ideologues show up at their respective legislative bodies… well, they function like the activists they are — actions popularized by “the squad” in Washington, D.C., which is ostensibly led by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

“Just handed this on the House floor, but they still have to vote,” Jones tweeted, along with an image of the resolution seeking expulsion. “We’ll not be intimidated. THE PEOPLE are demanding we act to stop kids from being murdered in school.”

As seen in another video Jones shared, Democrats and their supporters are making a mockery of the legislative process, disrupting regular order and making it all but impossible for the body to carry out its duties. This comes because Republicans hold the majority and refuse to bend to their demands.

Speaker Cameron Sexton (R) took to Twitter to explain the actions being taken against the extremist lawmakers — the House is expected to vote on expulsion Thursday.

“My comments on Thursday were not directed toward the peaceful protestors; they were solely directed toward the actions of three Democrat lawmakers who rushed the well and those who led a protest on the House floor with a bullhorn,” he began.

“Their actions are and will always be unacceptable, and they break several rules of decorum and procedure on the House floor,” Sexton continued. “Their actions and beliefs that they could be arrested on the House floor were an effort, unfortunately, to make themselves the victims. In effect, those actions took away the voices of the protestors, the focus on the six victims who lost their lives, and the families who lost their loved ones.”

Video of the three Democrats hijacking the legislative session Cameron spoke of can be seen below:

In effect, the Democratic base is taking their lesson from the lawmakers and trying to hold the legislature, hostage, until it caves to their gun-grabbing demands:

As might be expected, the left is having a conniption over the possibility of facing consequences for its extreme behavior:
