Terrible news for the candidate who cast deciding vote on so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act’

Vice President Kamala Harris’s record is coming under renewed scrutiny as inflation is proving a hard horse to tame.

Harris famously cast tie-breaking votes in both 2021 and 2022 where she helped pass the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, respectively. Both of these pieces of legislation added to the United States’ inflation burden. Now, in 2024, prices are still sky high and Harris is trying to convince voters that after the last three years of being the nation’s vice president, she will finally be able to do something.

The same Kamala Harris who recently said that “not a thing comes to mind” when asked if she would change anything about Joe Biden’s presidency.

“CPI comes in a little bit hotter than anticipated, up two-tenths of a percent, same as last month,” explained Michael McKee of Bloomberg News. “Forecast was for one-tenth. The core comes in up three-tenths, that is also a little bit hotter than forecast. Two-tenths was the belief, three-tenths was what we saw in August.”

“The year-over-year numbers, 2.4 percent for the headline, not as good as anticipated, and the core, 3.3%, not as good as anticipated,” he continued. “So maybe this will catch a little bit of wind given that we had the big, strong jobs report last Friday. Now, speaking of jobs, we get a big jump in jobless claims. 258,000, that’s up from 225,000 the month before.”

These are not numbers you want to see if you’re trying to convince people to give you a promotion from your current position. Biden has made it clear that Kamala has had her hand in just about every proverbial pot, telling ‘The View’ audience that she has been involved in “everything from foreign policy to domestic policy” under his leadership.

“She was a first-rate prosecutor…and as vice president, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do. And so I was able to delegate [to] her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy,” Biden said, unintentionally saddling the Democratic presidential nominee with the burdens of the administration’s failures as Americans are about to head to the ballot boxes.
