It was a glum night for America’s left-wing cable news outlets after GOP frontrunner Donald J. Trump clobbered Nikki Haley in the South Carolina primary on Saturday and MSNBC’s Joy Reid predictably made it all about race.
The hope that a surge of Democrats in the Palmetto State’s open primary would result in a strong showing by the former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations didn’t come to pass with Trump winning handily over the women described by California Gov. Gavin Newsom as the “one of our better surrogates.”
With the Democrat propaganda network’s A-team’s disappointment at the results evident by the sour looks on their normally smug faces, the prissy Chris Hayes tossed it over to Reid for an explanation about exit poll questions showing Trump’s strong support despite the lawfare onslaught as well as continuing skepticism about the 2020 election.

“This is a what, 92 percent white, overwhelmingly evangelical Christian primary electorate in South Carolina,” Reid said. “And I think writ large across the country, that is the way they think. Even on the independent voters who are about 21 percent of this electorate, it’s almost a 50-50 question, as to whether President Biden is the legitimate president of the United States.”
“That is what the Republican party is now. It is a baseline condition of being a base Republican right now that you do not believe that the 2020 election was legitimate, you believe that Donald Trump is the rightful president of the United States, you believe that he’s the most electable candidate, that’s also in these exit polls, more so than Nikki Haley, which there is no empirical data that supports that,” the “race lady” continued. “And you believe that he should be president regardless of whether he’s convicted of a felony which he very likely will be in the next month.”
I think that there is nothing new here, in terms of what MAGA voters and Republican voters think, but I think that because South Carolina is such a heavily white evangelical conservative state, and it’s so overwhelmingly a Republican state,” Reid explained. “I was talking with somebody from the Nikki Haley world, about whether or not there was any success that Democrats may have had in getting Democratic voters to come out and vote, because it is an open primary and try to vote for Nikki Haley. Their response was there are almost no Democrats in this state, other than Jim Clyburn so they’re like that would’ve helped at all.”
“This is who the Republican base is right now,” she said.
An even bigger problem than the inability of Haley to present a viable challenge to Trump is the that idea the 2020 election wasn’t on the up-and-up is held by millions of Republican voters despite the severe punishment meted out to naysayers and the Biden regime’s weaponizing of the federal law enforcement apparatus against Trump supporters.
On the other dominant left-wing cable news outlet, the exit polls showing ongoing questions about 2020 and the legitimacy of Biden’s presidency drew a strong reaction from CNN’s political director David Chalian.

The Democratic party’s winged monkey in the media have already been hard at work in demonizing white Christians who like the so-called “MAGA Republicans” will be defined as racists and insurrectionists because their votes should be invalidated in the “our democracy” that leftists endlessly pontificate about.
