The Bidens’ Christmas Eve tree photo op mocked for staging gaffes

The Bidens sent out a tweet purportedly showing them decorating a tree on Christmas Eve with the president on a ladder, bowl in hand, which absolutely strained belief and spawned hilariously brutal memes on Twitter.

Many sincerely doubt that the First Family decorates their own Christmas tree. Not to mention the fact that Joe Biden, who is in his 80s and notoriously unsteady on his feet these days, is balancing himself on a ladder while decorating the tree. The president shuffles when he walks and stumbles frequently. He fell off a bike as well. All of those gaffes add up to many assuming the photo was not genuine and was used basically as propaganda.

Others pointed out that the Bidens waited until Christmas Eve to decorate their tree which is also very hard to believe.

“Just a few finishing touches! Hope you and your loved ones are having a great Christmas Eve,” the president tweeted.

Trump supporter Collin Rugg summed it up for many and put a bow on it, “Alex, I’ll take things that were totally staged for $600.”

Some couldn’t hide their bitterness towards the Bidens over ongoing vaccine mandates.

“My family can’t join me cause you didn’t drop the vaccine requirements for foreign nationals. You left it as late as you have decorating the tree,” actor Matthew Marsden tweeted.

While others dragged the photo op all over social media.

“Surely they don’t let him on a ladder…,” one user snarked.

“Joel, why in the hell are you waiting until Christmas Eve to decorate your tree?” another tweeted.

“What’s the mixing bowl for…?” actor Corin Nemec asked.

And then the memes began:

If all of that wasn’t embarrassingly bad enough, President Biden skipped out on taking calls from children this year to find out where Santa was on Christmas Eve, according to the Daily Mail. That’s a tradition that goes back to 1955. Instead, Doctor Jill Biden stepped in to take the calls. There was no explanation from the White House for the president ducking the calls.

‘It’s almost time to set out the cookies and get the reindeers’ carrots ready — NORAD Command just said Santa is on his way to your neighborhood!’ she tweeted Saturday evening.

Last year, a dad named Jared called in from Oregon, telling Biden, “Merry Christmas” and “Let’s go, Brandon” after his children told the president what they wanted from Santa Claus.

Biden responded, “Let’s Go, Brandon, I agree,” seemingly unaware that it was a derogatory reference aimed at him.

Every president since Dwight D. Eisenhower has participated in the tradition of taking calls from children on Christmas Eve until President Biden. Many are contending that either Biden was too tired to do the calls or that his handlers feared him doing so.

He did, however, visit the Children’s National Hospital, tagging along with his wife to do so in another cringy staged event.

The president also spoke with several military personnel.

“This Christmas, Jill and I were honored to thank a few brave men and women in uniform for their sacrifices this time of year. They’re away from their families to protect us. And they have the thanks of a grateful, indebted president,” Biden tweeted.

According to the White House, Biden and the first lady called members of the Army stationed at Panama City, Panama; the Navy aboard the USS The Sullivans in the Arabian Sea; and the Marine Corps at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. They also called the Air Force at Okinawa, Japan; the Space Force in Europe; and the Coast Guard aboard the cutter Bertholf in Alameda, California.
