The latest ‘new Obama’ emerges for Dems as Crockett predicts party will run ‘safest white boy’ in 2028

Buzz is beginning to build that Maryland Governor Wes Moore could emerge as a contender for the 2028 Democratic nomination, as some in the party long for a “new Obama” to lead them back to the promised land.

Described by CNN as a “rising Democratic star,” the charismatic 46-year-old has been getting a lot of face time in the media lately, including a seat at the table on ABC’s “The View” earlier this month where he told the leftist harpies that he’s “not running” for the White House, but his being a featured guest on the long-running daytime gabfest as well as other high profile appearances are contributing to the speculation.

“I am not running,” Moore told “The View” co-host Joy Behar, who pleaded, “Wait a minute — what if we really, really, really need you?”

“He’s doing very little to discourage that speculation about 2028 … His schedule was at odds with his message,” said Len Foxwell, a Maryland-based Democratic strategist of Moore’s stealth campaign.

“On the one hand, he was swearing off the 2028 ambition, and on the other hand, he was going on a national talk show that is regarded as a must-stop for prospective Democratic presidential candidates, and then going to visit key battleground states in the presidential primary calendar,” he added, according to The Hill.

Moore recently gave the commencement speech at Lincoln University, a historically black college in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state, and delivered a keynote address at the Brennan Center Awards in New York City, where he babbled about “democracy” and “the true mettle of patriotism.”

The longing by Democrats for another black leader shows that the left-wing party isn’t giving up on identity politics even after the electorate overwhelmingly rejected Kamala Harris, who was once hailed as the “female Barack Obama.”

But the closest thing to a leader that the party has these days is suggesting that Democrats are instead looking to run what she described as the “safest white boy” in the next national election.

“So there’s a lot of people that are like, ‘You know what? ‘Let’s go find the safest White boy we can find,’” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said in a clip from the SiriusXM “Urban View” town hall that was posted to social media. “I mean, I’m just saying.”

“No, for real. And to be clear, when we talk about them, I can tell you that there is one specific candidate,” the ghetto trash-talking congresswoman said. “I had a donor on the phone with me telling me that all the donors are lining up behind that candidate. So I can tell, and I tell you, it’s not a black person, nor a woman, OK?”

If the party does look to go the “new Obama” route, Moore would likely be a vastly superior candidate than Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), who himself has an eye on the Oval Office. An overly emotional leftist with diarrhea of the mouth, Booker recently broke the record for the longest speech in Senate history with a 25+ hour diatribe bashing President Donald J. Trump.

Moore has been among Democrats demanding the return of deported MS-13 thug Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the wife-beating, human trafficking “Maryland man” who has become the poster boy for the party’s ongoing war on Trump and his immigration policies.

“I am calling on the President to follow the law and to do what is right: Bring Kilmar home,” the governor demanded in a post to X last month.
