The Left immediately begins Luigi Mangione treatment for attempted Trump assassin

Vile celebration and lionization after previous assassinations prompted debate as to which leftists in corporate media or otherwise would be the first to deliver the Luigi Mangione treatment.

Saturday at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, a suspect was arrested after allegedly attempting to gain entry to the event with the intent to assassinate President Donald Trump and members of his administration. As myriad radicals took to social media to lament the thwarting of the most recent effort to kill Trump, online buzz anticipated that the celebrity treatment was an inevitability.

Sharing a post from Dutch outlet BNO News that included screenshots of the alleged manifesto of the suspected wannabe assassin, Sunny, on X suggested, “The left is going to Luigi Mangione him. He’ll get at least one glowing profile in a major magazine.”

Even before cheers and mockery spread across the left after the assassination of father, husband, and Christian patriot Charlie Kirk, a fanbase had formed for Mangione, the alleged assassin of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

After his arrest, the Metropolitan Detention Center detainee had first broken his silence by addressing those fans who’d sent him letters and photos.

“I am overwhelmed by — and grateful for — everyone who has written me to share their stories and express their support,” began the statement. “Powerfully, this support has transcended political, racial, and even class divisions, as mail has flooded MDC from across the country and around the globe. While it is impossible for me to reply to most letters, please know that I read every one that I receive. Thank you again to everyone who took the time to write. I look forward to hearing more in the future.”

An effort at forming a direct connection between the two cases was reported out of Oregon, as an anti-U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) organizer was said to be taking steps to get Mangione’s attorney, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, to represent the wannabe assassin.

Journalist Andy Ngo reported, “Far-left extremists have gathered outside the Portland ICE facility to celebrate the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. They say they want to start a @gofundme for the gunman suspect.”

His post captioned reporting from his The Post Millennial peer Katie Daviscourt, who shared video from the scene and stated, “Vincent Hawkins, an ER nurse and anti-ICE organizer, rallies in support of would-be assassin Cole Tomas Allen outside the Portland ICE facility: ‘A school teacher in California is the one that took a shot at Donald. We’ll have that school teacher’s legal GoFundMe account here soon. I’m sure it’ll hit $10 million, and we’ll get Luigi’s team on it.'”

While some questioned whether or not the arrested California school teacher fit the aesthetic for swooning, and others remained convinced the failure would make him a dud in the eyes of the left, others made guesses as to which outlet would be first to offer a glowing spread. Among the predictions was Rolling Stone, which infamously gave Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev a cover.
