The View co-host laughed at for calling former employer Donald Trump ‘mob boss’

Tough talk from turncoat Alyssa Farah Griffin landed her with a “phony” label for her shot against the former president.

“She chose to work for him knowing full…”

The ladies of “The View” continued their guilty until proven innocent discussion of former President Donald Trump Monday with reactions to his newest co-defendant’s first appearance in court. Carlos De Oliveira had been named in the revised indictment and appeared at a Miami court to hear his charges that included “corruptly altering, destroying, mutilating, or concealing a document, record or other object.”

The property manager at the West Palm Beach, Florida resort Trump calls home, Mar-a-Lago, had not entered a plea due to his lack of in-state counsel and his arraignment was delayed, but that didn’t stop Griffin from slamming the president as a “mob boss.”

While co-hosts like Sunny Hostin thought the co-defendant would “sing real, real well” as a “weak canary,” the onetime White House Strategic Communications Director and former assistant to the president thought otherwise.

“I’m not sure that I think Mr. Oliveira is gonna end up breaking with Trump and severing, and I don’t think Walt Nauta necessarily is because Trump is paying both of their legal bills,” she noted of the president’s other co-defendant, aide Walt Nauta, while drawing attention to recent reports that the Save America PAC had spent over $40 million of campaign donations on legal fees for Trump so far this year.

“Donald Trump operates like a mob boss. He’s done this throughout his career — Michael Cohen has spoken to this — he pays for people’s legal bills to the tune of $200,000 to try to keep them loyal to him,” Griffin continued. “This is the guy who’s like, a property manager at Mar-a-Lago, a pretty low-level gentleman who spoke about how he’s like, ‘I don’t know. He was my boss and he asked me to do it.’ I would encourage him break because you are facing federal prison, but he’s currently having his lawyer paid for by Trump.”

Her claims didn’t sit well with viewers who couldn’t help but note her considerable tenure in the Trump administration that only saw her change her expressed opinion following the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Every time Alyssa refers to Trump as a ‘mob boss’ I have to laugh. She chose to work for him knowing full well who Trump was…” one person critiqued while another said, “Alyssa yet again…I’m not buying [your] phony negative comments against your former boss #DonaldTrump!!! You never should’ve worked for him! You were loyal to him for a long time…”

She didn’t help her argument any as she brought the similarly inclined Cassidy Hutchinson who had worked for the Trump administration, whom Griffin said had her legal fees paid for by the president until she too turned against him to offer her infamous “bombshell” testimony to the sham Jan. 6 Committee where she cozied up to then-Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney (R).

“I’ll remind you, my friend Cassidy Hutchinson didn’t feel like she could tell the truth when she had a Trump-paid-for attorney,” the co-host said. “It was only when she was able to get her own that she’s like, ‘These are the questions you need to ask me, I wanna answer this, I wanna tell you.’ It’s textbook Donald Trump!”
