“The View” co-hosts actively decided to run interference for Kamala Harris’ infamous word salads this week, attempting to repair her irreparable image by claiming that “lawyers speak in threes” and that she gets a pass because she’s black.

Co-host Sara Haines bluntly stated that she has “a hard time listening to [Harris] do speeches because she has this tendency, they call it the ‘word salad.’”
She then played a clip highlighting the vice president’s cringy speaking style.
“I don’t know if she’s going off script and ad-libbing or [improvising], and if that’s the case, she needs to stay on script,” Haines said. “If it’s her speechwriter, they need to change the speechwriter, because when you’re two years in, they need to protect her more.”
The clips show Harris speaking at various events and engaging in word saladry. At one event she repeatedly used the phrase “the significance of the passage of time” and in another declared, “During Women’s History Month we celebrate and we honor the women who made history throughout history.”
Kamala Harris is one of greatest dulllards in world history. This is so mind numbing I could only take one minute of it. You gottta listen and see how far you get. https://t.co/iQfBKFlf2E

Co-host Joy Behar tried to excuse away the gaffes by asserting that Harris was reading from a teleprompter. It’s happened so often, many contend that simply can’t be the case.
“If she’s reading a prompter, they need to immediately fix that. You are the vice president of the United States. The administration and the president are responsible for protecting her,” Haines contended.
Co-host Sunny Hostin, who went to Notre Dame Law School, defended Harris claiming that it’s not so much being gaffe-prone as it is a legal speaking style. There are many attorneys that would aggressively disagree with that premise.
“I would add that as a lawyer, you’re generally told when you’re speaking, that you speak in threes, because that’s what people remember,” Hostin stated. “So if you’re going to talk about a car, you talk about the car, the red car, the fast red car.”
“But you don’t use the definition of the word in the definition,” Haines clapped back.
Earlier in the segment, co-host Whoopi Goldberg addressed the fact that the Biden administration is conducting damage control over Harris and is trying to boost her public image among voters. Goldberg couldn’t fathom why.
Hostin, of course, blamed it on race rather than Harris’ incompetence. She also claimed that the reason for the White House’s efforts to recraft Harris’ image is to consolidate the black vote.
If The View had an actual conservative who can make a decent argument on the show, the simple checkmate to a race-baiter like Sunny Hostin would be to simply broach the fact that Democratic voters overwhelmingly rejected Kamala Harris in the 2020 race. Are they racist too, Sunny? https://t.co/L15LhoDw55

“We’re in the United States of America. And black women, and this is not just me saying it — I mean, there have been studies. Black women are considered less articulate. They are considered uglier. They are considered all of these things by this country,” she remarked. “And it’s because of the history, of course, of misogyny and sexism.”
“She hasn’t broken through on major policy accomplishments,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said of Harris. “And she will, fairly or unfairly, be the most scrutinized vice president in history because she’s running with the oldest president running for president.”
“And she’s also a black woman,” Hostin interjected.
Griffin responded, “I think you have to fairly critique the vice president of the United States without just saying it is the color of her skin or she’s a woman.”
“But it is part of it,” Hostin insisted.
“I understand why they are boosting her at this point. They want to boost her because no Democratic nominee can win the general election without the black vote. I mean, that is just a fact,” she commented. “When she became the vice presidential candidate, I have a picture of all the women from the Divine Nine strolling to vote because of her, and so I think she probably in many respects won that election for him, and so black voters saved his campaign in 2020. They could also be why he loses it in 2024.”
